The moment that Qrow had called out to her had Summer’s cheeks darkening even further which had caused her to pull her hood up over her head. “S..sure.” What the heck was that?! She had never stammered in front of him before. This wasn’t like her but she had only ever maybe seen him without a shirt while training with Tai. But this? This was something entirely different and the leader wasn’t sure about it.
“I…I’ll leave you to get dressed. Sorry Qrow!” With that Summer kept her head low closing to rush off in the direction of their camp. Once far enough between to two not to be heard Summer came to a stop and leaned up against a nearby tree. Catching her breath she rested her head against the trunk. “Why on earth did he act like he was fully dressed?” She sighed silver hues glancing up toward the canopy of the forest around them. Lately with each new mission Ozpin sent them on she’d been feeling more and more cautious of herself, her cheeks darkening at each chance glance where their eyes met. “Come on Summer stop thinking like that. He was just getting clean, nothing to worry about.”
Of course Raven had snuck up on her at this point and smirked leaning to one side. “I take it he’s still cleaning up?” Summer shrieked at Ravens words and half sarcastic tone, feeling like she’d just jumped out of her own skin. And this caused Raven to laugh. “Come on Summer you’ve been more and more jumpy around him lately. Someone likes my brother.” Raving teased with a big smile poking at Summers cheek. The dark brunette redhead puffed up her cheeks. “Raven you scared me half to death! And yes he is.”
Taking a deep breath and calming herself down Summer relaxed some. “I hadn’t gone to see if Qrow had finished or not you know.”
Well that was... weird. He’d never seen Summer act like that before. Not that the fact he was butt naked standing there crossed his mind as a reason. (Or that maybe she actually might be having the same thoughts or feelings about him as he’d been having for her...) “Um... okay...” The words died in the falling water though as Summer had already taken off before he could get them out. Oh well...
Making his way out of the spring, Qrow did the best he could to shake any excess water off before getting dressed. He’d manage to get almost done, everything save his shirt, when he heard Summer shriek off in the distance. He didn’t even think, he just grabbed his shirt and Harbinger and set off running back towards the camp. His mind raced with every step. Had a Grimm snuck up on her? or worse... had the tribe found them? Or any other bandits really? Or worse, had he let his guard down too far and his semblance had kicked in making any of those things happen? If he’d had his head screwed on straight, and hadn’t just been running on his gut, he would remember that Summer was perfectly capable of handling pretty much of all of those things on her own... but good life choices weren’t exactly something Qrow was known for.
Coming around the bend of the path, he saw Summer... and Raven... standing there, Summer’s cheeks bright red and his sister’s trouble making, shit eating grin on her face. There was also very clearly nothing actually wrong. Huffing, and still shirtless, his weapon which had been raised and ready dropped, the tip digging slightly into the dirt. “What the hell?’ he asked, pale mahogany red eyes glaring at his twin. “I heard Summer shriek and thought...”
Getting a grip, Qrow stood upright, arms crossing as Harbinger rest against his thigh for the time being. “Raven... please tell me you’re not pickin’ on Summer again... please tell me I didn’t just haul ass up here for nothin’...” Right then he was very glad for the fact he’d been running... it actually hid the embarrassed red that had spread over his cheeks.
