First thoughts after finishing Flint Town
1. Fuck the white cops (except for that Bernritter man, besides not being an outright ass he was probably one of the few white cops who didn't vote for Trump because they showed him at viewing parties here election night, the nearest republican thing was an hour away) and I wonder what kind of problems this could cause here
2. The city isn't that large. Crime happens everywhere because of the size. It overflows from the areas it's concentrated in. But in 8 episodes they never once even cruised through areas like where I live, I'm assuming because visibly we don't meet the poverty quota they were going for.
3. They shouldn't show our bodies like that. Our literal corpses are not for mass consumption, on a entertainment platform. Without permission from the families.
4. Can we get a show about little miss flint? Flint youth theater or some of the urban gardens? We have one of the top ranked farmers markets in the country. You could definitely set a cute little show here based on that. We have art walk downtown the first Friday of every month and it's for everybody. Gentrification is happening here, we have UpTown Corp with their Master Plan. Maybe this will push us even further to represent ourselves, because look what outsiders see when they see us.

Did y'all know about the documentary series on Netflix called Flint Town? It's about Flint, Michigan. The police brutality and the water crisis. Which is still a crisis, by the way. Don't sleep on this one.
I know personally one of the cops in the Flint Town documentary and yes, Flint is just as fucked as it looks and sounds like. It wasn’t sensationalized.
