Another cool tool
If you are looking at how to make flipped classroom learning videos, either as a way of instructing primarily or as a review tool, an app by Doceri may be just for you.
Doceri is a company that produces interactive apps, either in iOS format, Windows, or desktop versions, where teachers can create a lesson with slides and audio and post them to YouTube. I came across this last year after I had exhausted the free space allowed to non-subscriber users of ShowMe. Because of, well, limited budgets, I was looking for a way to make review videos that could be posted for my students to watch (especially when students are absent or are studying for a test) that was withing my budget, aka free.
This is where I found Doceri.
Doceri is free for tablet usage. To use the free version, the Doceri watermark is posted in the lower right hand corner of each video (you can pay $4.99 to remove the watermark). After you create your slides, you can add audio to match your slides. Once you’ve finished, you can upload your video to a free YouTube account that you create. So far I have created 16 videos posted to my YouTube channel for students to view. It has become a valuable resource for me and I have shared it with my colleagues at school.
I encourage you all to check it out!
