Growing up on Bowery and Rivington, he watched our dad close his bodega due to rising rents while our mom hid us under her sewing desk at a Bleeker St. garment factory (where she made 10 cents per finished item, not enough for childcare). But unlike me, my bro was never a street kid. @chrismartenyc was studying at London School of Economics while our mom was taking 9 hour bus rides to visit me in prison. Right now - in a really beautiful way - our worlds are colliding because we both believe in the social and economic justice that c@nnabis legalization will bring New Yorkers.
