The Sound of Silence
First submission to Month of Love 2021, Theme 1: Silence. This year I am honoured and nervous to be one of the officially invited artists of Month of Love :)
In light of events since last year I decided to make silence a virtue and a chance, to be enjoyed, rather than a punishment to be feared and loathed. I was please to notice that the figure could be floating as well as lying down. It's another of my very mixed media pieces, drawn on 30×40cm Arches Ingres paper mounted to board, using inks, ink pens, graphite, chalk, metallic pen, and glitter. The paper was quite unagreeable and clung stubbornly to the masking fluid I used, but I liked the colour so much I still put up with it - it has the same colour as those 60ies movie interiors.
