• #lachaise Charles & Ray #Eames, 1948. Charles and Ray Eames designed the elegant lounge chair La Chaise for a competition at the #moma in #nyc in 1948. It was inspired by the ' #FloatingFigure ' sculpture by Gaston Lachaise. •Eames Elephant-Charles & Ray Eames, 1945. A prototype was given to Charles's 14-year-old daughter Lucia Eames and later borrowed for the exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1946. It still survives in the Eames family archives today. #alltimeclassics
