I probably should have clarified last night, I'm not actually scared about my new job [okay, actually I am, but it's the good kind of scared?] but it was 2am and I was exhausted and upset so I'm not surprised it came off that way.

More importantly, I'm incredibly grateful who sent me things. It did make me feel better, at least for a little bit, and I'm feeling slightly less likely to cry today. Life around me is stressing me out, and trying to navigate being an adult is hard.

BUT. My new job is helping a theater with the costume design for their upcoming production. It's a step toward my dream jobs, and it's so incredibly exciting for me to be the one in charge. It's for a small community theater, and only one show, but I couldn't be more thrilled that I got the job.

I have an interview this afternoon with a tea shop that just opened up, and a second interview on Monday with a beauty supply store. I'll likely be taking both jobs if they offer them to me, and just working a ton- so that I'm rather nervous about, but I need the help. The theater job only lasts until February, unless they sign me on for another show, and my current seasonal job ends in January, so. We'll see.

Thanks again, friends. I really needed the pick-me-up after the last month.

I only have just over an hour left of work, so it's not that awful, and I'm moving in just over a week, so it's not like I have that much work left anyway. :'D Until I can find a new job.

1. Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?

For general drawing, I prefer tradition, because I feel like I have better control over a pencil. But when it comes to color, I like digital because it always ends up more vibrant to me. (Maybe my scanners have just always been sucky?)

4. Do you have a DeviantArt, personal website, or art blog?

I have an old DA that I don’t update anymore, and this is my art blog. I have side sites for my modeling/cosplay and craft work though.

7. How often do you use references?

Probably about 33% of the time? 

10. Are you confident about your art?

I flip flop between yes and no. Right now I’m in a pretty good spot.

13. Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people?

I have an easier time drawing for myself, even though I want to draw stuff for others too.

16. Do you draw more today than you did in the past, or do you draw less?

I draw a lot less often than I used to; something that I need to remedy.

19. What is the most difficult thing for you to draw?

Hands and feet still elude me a lot, and fluid, dynamic poses.

22. Are you confident that you’re improving steadily?

After looking at some previous pieces recently, yes!

25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?

I HAVE to have music or some sound on. I prefer music, because movies or TV can distract me easier. As for what music- it varies depending on the piece.

28. For traditional artists: what medium do you like most? (Pencil, charcoals, etc)

I like colored pencils and markers most! I’m not very experienced with markers, but I lovelovelove colored pencils.
