Have I talked about Floatshimmer here? I love Floatshimmer. Yeah, I know she's done nothing, but I've constructed an elaborate story for her in my head and i MUST share it, OK?
Basically in canon Floatshimmer's now the mother of Heronkit and Eelkit with Graysky... but doing the math, he would've been getting her pregnant at 8 moons old, while he was around 20 moons old. So, um, I'm gonna change that up a bit for WCSR

Following the events of ASC Star, Floatkit is very traumatized from Splashtail holding her down and threatening to cut her throat, hauling her into the lake and almost drowning her and other stuff like that. Her siblings are less affected, since they were kept in custody but never threatened with immediate harm like Float. she def suffers a lot of psychological scars from this.
as Floatpaw, she develops a streak of very risky, impulsive behavior due to her trauma. She became quite a troublesome apprentice, one that many would describe as "bratty". At a gathering she meets Firpaw, a bumbling and awkward ShadowClan apprentice who could very easily be described as "Pure of heart, dumb of ass". Floatpaw liked to flirt with him because of the thrill she felt, from the risk of doing something "secret" and "forbidden". (though, it's not exactly forbidden anymore, but still. sneaking around gives her the adrenaline she seeks). Does she actually like Firpaw? ...eh. who knows. But he likes the attention he's getting, so he doesn't question it.
ShadowClan knows that Firpaw is seeing Floatpaw, but they assume it's an apprentice-hood crush he'll grow out of. Or, if it's serious, one of them will move clans. RiverClan knows nothing about Floatpaw's secret... until she's about 10 moons old. Because her mentor, Sparrowtail, notices that she's pregnant. (Sparrow & Hollow stay in RC in WCSR, since i thought its an interesting idea from the error in TEQ, but thats a different story lol)
Sparrowtail FREAKS out. for understandable reasons, i think. Floatpaw is so young and there's no appropriately aged toms in the clan who aren't also her brother. He tells Icestar, Havenpelt, Sneezecloud, The medicine cats... he doesn't exactly handle it well, but he's panicking, lol
Floatpaw meanwhile doesn't get why everyone's making such a big deal out of it. She's like "it's my choice, who cares?"
Everyone calms down a little when she finally discloses that the father is Firpaw from ShadowClan. Mainly because Havenpelt was this close to shredding Graysky, who had no idea what was going on. And Floatpaw was like yuck, Graysky? Seriously? (Icestar was dreading having to deal with the fallout of other clans learning that one of her warriors had inappropriate relations with an apprentice. She's very much focused on how the other clans percieve her as a new leader, unfortunately)
Floatshimmer is made a warrior early. Icestar just hopes the other clans won't remember that Rapidpaw and Troutpaw, who are still apprentices, are her littermates. Rapidpaw and Troutpaw are jealous of their sister, since they're all teenagers and they don't really get it yet. (Rapidpaw says "so if i got pregnant I would be made a warrior?" and Icestar is like "well.. yes.. but DON'T DO THAT" and Troutpaw sulkily says "i wish i could get pregnant...")
Icestar is very worried Tigerstar is going to try and step in to "Help" RiverClan again.
Floatshimmer, on the other hand... doesn't really care much for her kits. She doesn't enjoy spending time in the nursery and she doesn't "bond" with them. Honestly, she wants to give them to Firbark, also just recently made a warrior. (hes about 2 moons older than her)
Firbark's also a teen who doesn't really get the ramifications of being a parent. his attitude is very much "pleaseeee can i have them i promise ill feed them and take them on walks every day" and floatshimmer is like "sounds good to me!"
However Icestar forbids Floatshimmer from giving up her kits, because RiverClan is so tiny, she can't afford to lose any potential warriors. She also tells Tigerstar to turn Floatpaw away if she tries to join ShadowClan.
Icestar isn't heartless of course. She feels really bad for Floatshimmer. She wants to care for the good of the clan but also take into account Floatshimmer's wellbeing... but she's not doing a very good job. She kinda just lets Floatshimmer do whatever she wants as a "sorry for making you keep the kits" apology. (another thing that drives a wedge between Float and her siblings, they're jealous of all her freedom, not realizing the cost it's come with)
Meanwhile, Graysky. He's still involved here. He takes interest in being a Den Dad, receiving training from Mosspelt, who is very old. She kinda takes him under her wing, and decides that Floatshimmer's soon-to-arrive kits are a good learning opportunity for him.
When the kits are born, Floatshimmer nurses them. She doesn't name them, though. She isn't there unless she 110% has to be, honestly. She doesn't like nursing kits, and just wants it to be over with. Graysky is really impatient with her. He's kinda a shitty dude. Mosspelt tries to talk sense into him - that Floatshimmer is a really young queen, something Mosspelt was once herself. But Graysky doesn't listen. He's good with the kits! But not to Floatshimmer, not really considering that she's barely more than a kit herself.
Meanwhile Heronkit and Eelkit, who were named by Mosspelt and Graysky, don't really realize that Floatshimmer is their mom. They think Graysky and Mosspelt are their parents, leading to some awkward glances from visitors and a lot of "oh god no, absolutely not, we're just kitsitters" from Graysky and Mosspelt.
Floatshimmer spends a lot of her time meeting with Firbark. and complaining. Neither of them are really that interested in being parents. Since they're so young, and all
Floatshimmer doesnt hate her kits, but she doesn't really have an attachment to them. She doesn't feel like they're "hers". and Firbark has never really even met the kits, so his interest in bringing them to ShadowClan was pretty shallow.
Theyre kinda like an inverse of Squirrelwhisker and Eaglestorm, now that i think of it. both teen parents but WILDLY different outcomes
Floatshimmer is very traumatized and DOES NOT like to talk about her feelings. She would rather deflect and instead complain about things that annoy her and pretend its that "annoyance" that's driving all her actions. She chases thrills without considering or caring about the repercussions. Firbark is a bit of a yes-man who just enables all her behaviors because he's just.. a little stupid, ok? They're not really compatible with each other, tbh. Floatshimmer just likes to talk at him and doesn't really care much about him. Firbark thinks Floatshimmer is pretty and nice but he misses a lot of cues about her personality.
Love how Floatshimmer has the whole teenage pregnancy controversy going on and Rapidsplash is receiving attention for having part of Splashtail's name and meanwhile Troutshine is just🧍♂️
