By any other name ...
My flora-identification app (Leafsnap) is all over the map on this rose-like flower that grows on trees around here.
The possibilities: Persian buttercup, camellia, cottage peony, Hungarian rose, Bengal rose, Wichura's rose ...
I can't tell you how it smells because I couldn't quite reach it with my nose, but I have a feeling that, whatever its name, it smells quite sweet.
