Hepatica nobilis var. nobilis in Italy (Parco naturale regionale Sirente-Velino).
This is a delayed video record of my orchid trip to Italy back in 2019. Italy's diverse topography and climate make it one of the botanically richest countries in Europe, especially for the bee orchids. This trip only covered a small part of Italy, I do hope I can go back there for more exploration in the future. I apologise for not being able to name every species that appears in the video, as I am not an expert and not confident in identifying them all. Hope you enjoy this video.
Ferula communis. According to Wikipedia, the stalk of this species used to be used for disciplinary purposes. Gargano Peninsular, Italy.
Branched Asphodel (Asphodelus ramosus), Gargano Peninsula, Italy. Apparently, its foliage is toxic to goats and sheep in winter, but it loses the toxicity after the leaves dry out in summer.
Bertoloni's bee orchid (Ophrys bertolonii) , central Italy (Parco Nazionale D'Abruzzo Lazio e Molise).
Italian plant: Campanula patula, found this in a village at the foothill of the Alps near Trento.
Italian orchid: Anacamptis coriophora subsp. fragrans.红门兰族倒距兰属
Lady Orchid（Orchis purpurea）, Avezzano comune of Central Italy.
