While I grew up in Florida, hurricanes are such a common thing there obviously, whenever there was a hurricane we'd put up these metal window protector things. There was a family we knew who would come over every time there was a hurricane because they didn't have the protectors. But when we lived in Florida it was never a shock for hurricanes. It was "oh hurricane this weekend? You planning on coming over and playing cards again?" And that is what we did during hurricanes. Played cards and when the lights went out we played hide and seek in the dark. And I was like younger than the age of 7 and I don't even remember being scared. I don't know it just sound sorta metal to me
