Little "study " on Flos by R Sound Design
Went through the flower language for the flowers mentioned in Flos because nobody else cares
First part- "Daphne, Ficus, Iris, Maackia, Lythrum, Myrica, Sabia, Flos"
Glory/ immortality, companion/ trust, Message/ hope/ friendship/ wisdom, heartbreaking love/ mercy, esteem/domestic virtue
My interpretation, considering the rest of the song's lyrics, these flowers talks about how the singer (presumably ) had a close friend, they're so close they hope for them to stay together forever but that didn't happen despite them being good to each other
Second part- "Thymus, Ribes, Abelia, Sedum, Felicia, Ochna, Lychnis "
Activity/ courage/ strength, renewal/ hope/ anticipation, luck/ humble, tranquillity/ enduring/ perseverance, blessed/ happiness/ cooperation, ?, ?
I couldn't find meaning for Ocha and Lychnis,,
But from here, it seems that despite being heartbroken they (either the singer or the person the singer was with ) keep on going in hopes that they'll find each other again and reconcile and they did in the end
It poked me how in the song, there are these lyrics
The flower I carefully decorated
for the dulled days are withering in the blink of an eye - 1
The flower should blossom
after we've carefully followed the degenerate days. -2
You, clever as always, are still dreaming
and you watered the flowers as if you just realized -3
I drew flowers on the paper
upon which I had carefully written about my fruitless days -4
1 - My interretation is that the relationship between the singer and the Person is mainly built by the singer, in hopes that having a friend would help them feel less depressed. But it didn't work. The lyrics following those are "Foolish me woke up from the dream; There was no point in clinging onto it " , implying that the relationship is the singer's dream
2 - The singer is saying that the relationship should worked out because the two of them followed the "steps " to a working relationship but the fact that they called the days degenerate might imply that the singer still feels depressed?
3 - There's nothing after "as if you just realised " by the way.
Could mean that Person is still trying to make the relationship work, maybe singer called Person clever because unlike them, Person still sees hope in their relationship but also has noticed that the relationship was not working
4 - After the relationship fell off, the singer drew the flowers- the memories of the time of their relationship-. Fruitless days referring to how they failed to have a relationship
The lyrics that came after these are
