Nothing really happens aside from him being clingy, this idea came to me as I listened to that call where he’s being really sweet and cute after accidentally calling mc somehow instead of shutting off his alarm >.>;;;
Dola has somewhere to be, and Satan doesn’t want her to leave just yet.
4:37am. Hushed whispers broke the silence, as did the softest of laughter.
“Satan, my love, I need to go.” Dola, already mostly dressed in her adventuring attire, gently tried to pull away from Satan’s arms. They only tightened as a small whine left him—cute, she thought. But she really needed to leave.
“Do you have to…?” His voice was hoarse and groggy, eyes still closed, brow slowly furrowing as he kept himself from falling back asleep.
“I do,” she gently replied. She stopped trying to leave and instead cradled his face in her hands, thumb gently stroking the skin on his cheekbone. “You’re the one who told me to take this assignment, you know.”
Satan made an exasperated noise. He seemed more awake now, but still kept his eyes shut. Her ministrations seemed to placate him, though a small crease still remained between his brows.
“Didn’t think… leave so early…”
Dola chuckled. “Didn’t think they’d need me this early either.”
“Then don’t go yet…”
“But I need to, love,” she softly insisted, planting a soft kiss to his eyelids as she noticed them begin to open. He grunted, as if to say that that isn’t enough to keep him happy, earning himself another quiet chuckle and a kiss on the tip of his nose.
“The sooner you let me leave, the sooner I can get back,” she tried to negotiate.
“You’ll still be gone a week,” he reminded, eyes now fluttering open. Dola hummed and absently brushed his hair away from his face.
“All you have to do is tell me you miss me, and I’ll summon you before the minute ends.”
Despite his small huff, Satan returned her smile, heart warmed by the reassurance. He pulled her in closer and pressed his lips to hers.
He’ll miss her. Of course he will. But he knows that they’ll make it perfectly fine through the week without being each other’s presence. They’d been through much worse before.
Dola giggled against his lips before pulling away. She tried to leave once more, only for his arms to tighten around her.
“Satan, I really need to go now,” she insisted. She let go of his face to pat his arm. A silent let me go, though all he did was pull her closer.
“Promise me you’ll summon me as soon as anything bad happens.”
“I promise, swear on our pact, even,” she said, sealing it with a kiss to his forehead. Satan searched her eyes for a moment before finally letting her go. Dola thanked him with another peck on the lips before getting off the bed to put on her boots.
Satan watched her from his spot on the bed, eyes still heavy with sleep. He could feel himself begin to drift off once more but fought against it. Not yet, he told himself.
Once she was fully dressed, she walked over to Satan’s side. He turned his head to face her, feeling the bed dip from her weight. A cool hand held his cheek, bringing him back from the brink of sleep.
“I’ll be going now.” She spoke softly, reassuring.
“Be careful,” he mumbled, his own hand clumsily reaching for her own cheek. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” She leaned in for one last kiss, this time lingering longer than before—it made her wish she wasn’t leaving.
“Go back to sleep, okay? I’ll update you everyday, I promise.”
Satan nodded weakly. “Okay. I love you.”
Dola giggled and pulled the covers over him. “I love you too.”
Satan watched her leave, waiting for the quiet click of the door. It was only when he felt her presence leave the home that he let himself fall back to the land of dreams.

Dola works too much and Satan wants her to rest.
It was late—much too late for most to be awake. The moon shone brightly in the night sky, its rays streaming into Dolasach’s workshop. Though its light was drowned out by the artificial day illuminating the room.
The sound of pen to paper, steel nib scratching through the tooth. Pages being flipped, calculations being made, and the occasional quiet thud of a book being closed and set down.
It was late at night and Dolasach was still in the midst of her research, still chipping away at her project despite having already changed into her sleep clothes. Numerous books all gently bobbing mid-air surrounded her, and from time to time she'd switch out some of the ones in front of her with the others. She sighed upon reaching the end of the passage she was reading and reached for her mug, only find it empty.
But she didn't linger on the thought despite her tired mind telling her that she needed a way to stay awake. As much as she needed the caffeine, she couldn't leave her work. Her momentum was too good.
So she set the mug back in its place and resumed working, immersing herself in her many notes and annotations, navigating through references with precise familiarity. She was tired, sure, but it wasn’t too bad yet, Dola told herself. She could still work through it, maybe later she find a good point to stop so she could go make herself some coffee.
She was so immersed that she didn't hear the voice softly calling to her from the door to her workshop. She didn't notice that the voice called out to her again, or the footsteps of its speaker coming closer towards her.
It was only when warmth wrapped around her waist from behind, and the scent of fresh linen and minty shampoo filled her senses that she finally broke out of her trance.
Dola smiled, her smile growing wider as she felt warm lips press against her cheek.
"Good evening, my love," she greeted him softly, though she still didn't take her eyes off her work.
"Good evening, my heart," Satan greeted back, just as soft.
"And what brings you to my workshop so late at night?" she asked, gentle. She’d expected him to be busy with another book tonight, or perhaps asleep with said book left open on his chest.
"You,” he simply answered. Satan chuckled despite not being able to see Dola roll her eyes.
"Cute." She finally tore her eyes away from her notes to plant a kiss on his cheek. She could feel him smiling.
"Now you've got your kiss. What do you really need from me?”
Satan laughed, his chest rumbling against her back. "Alright, you got me. My fountain pen. I can't find it."
"Again?" Dola pulled out of his embrace to get a better look at him. Her brows furrowed slightly. "Surely it's just at your desk? It's always just there each time we look."
"I thought so too, but I couldn't find it," he admitted, smiling a bit sheepishly at her deepening furrow. "I was hoping it somehow ended up here at your desk, but it seems like it isn't here."
Dola set her pen down, and as she did the books floating all around her set themselves neatly onto her desk, still open.
"Satan, if it's at your desk again—"
"I know, it'll be the third time this week. But it seems to always show itself when you're the one looking."
He let go of her to trail after her as she headed to his study, which was honestly just the half of her workshop that had been converted into a mini-library when he moved in. Satan had said something about finding peace in being in the same room as her, and also finding some reassurance that if something happened, he'd be right there to help her.
Once at the desk, it took no time at all for Dola to spot his fountain pen, quickly picking it out from his pen stand and handing it over to him. She raised a brow at him in disbelief.
"Satan, it was right there."
He accepted his pen with a smile—one that somehow seemed a little too mischievous for the little mishap.
"Sorry, I just needed an excuse to get you away from your work."
"Wha—"
And with a quick, smooth motion, Satan swept Dola off her feet and began carrying her bridal-style towards their room at a brisk pace. On reflex, she clung to him, even while she shot him a glare.
"Satan! Put me down, I need to get back to work!"
If she'd had any real intention in her tone, he would've, but there wasn’t enough for their pact to recognize that as a command.
"No you don't," he countered, now furrowing his own brow at her. "You've been chipping away at developing that spell all week, it’s time I stop you from pulling yet another all nighter.”
"But it's important," she insisted. She tried to wiggle out of Satan's arms, but he only held onto her tighter.
"Is it for the Sorcerer's Society?" he asked, quirking a brow at her.
Dola paused. "No."
"For Solomon?" Satan felt her arms tighten around him as he climbed up the stairs.
"No."
"For Lord Diavolo?"
"... No."
"Then it can wait until morning," he said, final in his tone. Dola sighed—well, she was tired. But maybe…
“Would you at least let me put everything away?”
“I’m not falling for that again,” he told her, making her pout up at him. He looked down with a smirk. “And if you tell me there’s something volatile down there, I had a good look at your setup. Everything can sit there on your desk until the morning.”
Dola sighed again in defeat, finally resigning herself to her fate. She rested her head against his chest and found herself relaxing as the silence settled around them, the sound being his footsteps as he neared their bedroom, and the slow beat of a demonic heart. Slowly, her exhaustion caught up to her. Eyelids growing heavy, the aches from sitting for so long making themselves known.
His warmth was so comforting, so different from what just wearing one of his sweaters all day offered. She couldn’t deny that it did feel like it had been some time since she’d last spent more than a few minutes in his arms.
Okay. Maybe she did want to rest after all.
He gently set her down on the bed and took her slippers off for her. He kicked his own off before getting into bed himself. To his surprise, Dola wasted no time in curling up next to him.
“I thought I’d have to put in a bit more effort convincing you to cuddle,” he teased.
“I’m tired, leave me alone,” she said. Her cheek was smooshed against his bicep, an arm slung over his middle.
“Oh?” Satan rolled onto his side to face her better, his free hand tucking a loose lock of her behind her ear. “Just a few minutes in my arms and suddenly you’re acting all cute?”
Dola rolled her eyes but didn’t hold back her smile. “Yeah, yeah, you got me. Turns out I missed you too.”
He chuckled and leaned in close to peck her on the lips. “Good. I’d be rather sad if you didn’t.”
She kissed him back, letting herself savor the feeling. Satan deepened the kiss, but didn’t bring it any further than that. Not when it seemed like she was beginning to drift off in the middle of them making out.
He smiled fondly at how her eyes stayed closed after she pulled away. Careful not to jostle her, he brought the covers higher over them both.
“Good night, my heart,” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to forehead. Her incomprehensible whispered response was enough of a bid goodnight for him, and soon he too drifted off to a deep slumber.

Whenever I write them alone they’re usually pretty playful with each other if they’re not working on anything? Lately the DolaSatan brainrot’s been about both the sfw and nsfw parts of like… Learning how to be in a relationship? Like how they navigate dealing with Satan’s anger, or how Dola learns to let herself be vulnerable around him. This morning I was thinking about Dola getting her first glimpse at Satan’s feelings regarding having never been an angel—like she knew that he was born the same day Lilith died, but it never truly clicked that that meant that Satan’s only been a demon, and didn’t have the same history the rest of the brothers did with each other. (This was definitely spurred on by Erin’s angel wings post like sdgfsdjhsgdjf oh my god less than 10 minutes after waking up I was crying in bed I—)
The scene in my head was this: the demon brothers + Dola are all at Diavolo’s private beach. Is it the same as the first beach event? Who knows. But the first night they’re there, the six youngest of the seven are out on the shore, excitedly pointing at the night sky. The stars are different tonight; it seems that the constellations aren’t of the Devildom’s but of the human world’s, and the brothers—the twins especially—happily show off their surprisingly extensive knowledge of the art in the cosmos.
Dola hears names she hadn’t heard them mention before—Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Gabriel, and more. It wasn’t hard to guess that they were the names of angels they knew in the Celestial Realm, some having taught them all about the stories behind each little drawing in the sky. Lucifer confirms as much when he appears next to her, watching his brothers fondly. There was a twinge of something she couldn’t quite place in his expression, but knowing his history with the Celestial Realm, she decides to stay quiet. The others may still be able to reminisce fondly of their days as angels, but Lucifer had his reasons for not sharing the same feelings, and the lack of a third pair of wings when she’d heard he originally had six was proof of that.
She looks to the others again and sees that whatever excitement Satan had earlier had faded, replaced with what was clearly a mask portraying mild interest as he listens to his brothers. Dola watches him, concerned, when Lucifer speaks up again.
‘Satan must be bored,’ he muses. ‘He’s learned everything there is to learn about your realm’s stars from his books. My brothers rehashing everything from what they learned as fledglings must be tedious to have to listen to.’
Dola looks up at him, confused. ‘I suppose so,’ she agrees. Why wouldn’t she when it was clear on his face that he’d rather not be there anymore? So she takes out her DDD and sends him a text, offering whatever she could that sounded interesting to bail him out of there.
His face lights up when he sees that he’d gotten a text from her. Without making his eagerness to leave too obvious, he excuses himself and returns to Dola—but not without raising a suspicious brow at Lucifer as they enter their rented home. Lucifer just watches them go, sighing in relief.
Dola doesn’t think much of what Lucifer said or of Satan’s sudden disinterest in his brothers’ excitement, though both things did tell her that something was off—normally Satan would’ve taken the chance to teach his brothers what he knew, wouldn’t he? And between all six of them, only Belphie could really match his knowledge when it came to the stars… But even then, he’d still contribute. In bed she asks him if he was okay and as expected, he says he’s fine.
‘Why do you ask?’
‘No reason, I just thought you seemed a little off earlier. I must’ve overthought it.’
Satan smiles at her, but it was only half as genuine as he’d liked. He reassures her that he’s alright, just tired from the day. Dola doesn’t quite buy it, but lets it slide, thinking it either truly was nothing or that he simply wasn’t ready to talk about it yet. She kisses him goodnight and holds him a little tighter tonight before drifting off to sleep.
But somehow she wakes up alone in bed. It’s ten past midnight and Satan wasn’t anywhere in the room. She figures he left for the bathroom when something outside catches her eye. From the window she sees a familiar figure sitting alone on the shore, looking up at the sky. Dola presses a hand to the glass and watches him for a few moments more. How did he manage to leave without waking her up? How long has he been there?
Those questions can be asked later, she thought. She quickly gets up and pulls on a jacket—one of his that he’d brought knowing that the Devildom seaside would be uncomfortable cold for her—before quietly making her way past the others’ bedrooms, down the stairs, and out the door. She approaches him, purposely making enough noise to let him know she’s near. He doesn’t turn around.
‘Satan?’ she calls out to him. Despite the silence, she takes a seat next to him. She brushes her hand against his, the weight of the worry in her chest lifting ever so slightly when he intertwined their fingers. The crashing of the waves onto the shore was the only thing filling the silence. She draws little patterns on the back of his hand with her thumb.
Minutes pass without a single word exchanged before he spoke up.
‘What did Lucifer tell you earlier?’ he asks. He turns at her, expectant.
‘All he told me was that you must be bored listening to your brothers talk about the human world’s stars,’ she answers. She meets his eyes and see the beginnings of a fire calming down.
‘I see…’
She gives his hand a light squeeze. What did he assume he told her? ‘Satan, my love, what’s wrong?’
He blinks—hesitant, unsure. But takes a deep breath before facing the sea.
‘My brothers,’ he began, sighing. ‘They were all angels. Each one of them spent eons with each other and other angels in the Celestial Realm where it’s eternally day.
Some angels who’d been to the human world caught sight of what the night looked like, but they couldn’t stay to admire the dark beauty of it. Angels weren’t allowed to linger for long up there which only fueled their curiosity… Especially their curiosity of the twinkling, distant stars in the night sky.’
Satan’s brow furrows as he speaks, his gaze now down to the sand between his feet. ‘So Michael, the Archangel, once Lucifer’s closest companion among the Seraph, had a planetarium built near the palace. It bore the same constellations as your world, and Michael himself taught every curious angel what each star was and what each constellation meant. He taught my brothers everything they knew about your sky.’ He pauses to turn to Dola, who’d been watching him as he spoke. He’d been trying to remain composed but his eyes betrayed him—she sees hints of longing, of frustration that he’s fighting to push back.
Finally, it clicks. And it makes her heart ache.
‘I only know all this because my brothers have told me about it,’ Satan explains. He takes a brief, deep breath. ‘I was a part of Lucifer even during his time as an angel, yet I can only remember mere fragments of that part of my existence. Nothing clear enough to make heads or tails of, not even enough to know what Michael’s lessons were like, or even what my own brothers were like.
It’s like I was never there,’ he said, his eyes swirling with emotion. ‘Like only Lucifer existed despite me knowing that I was seeing the world through his eyes.’ He lets go of Dola’s hand to dig his fingers into the sand, his frustration finally reaching the surface. She gently calls his name as she begins to rub circles on his back, calming him down enough for him to take in a few deep breaths. Satan reaches for her once most of the tension left his body, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close. Her warmth comforted him, and reminded him that there was someone he could confide in—despite his earlier frustration, just having been able to finally tell someone all this and listen made his heart feel even just a little bit lighter.
Dola rests her head on his shoulder, her arm naturally snaking around his waist. It’s only when his breathing had fully calmed that she spoke again.
‘Do you wish you could remember everything?’ she gently asked, lifting her head up to look at him. ‘That his memories that stayed with you were clearer?’
‘Despite everything, no,’ he answered. ‘The earliest memory I can vividly recall was my creation, and to me that establishes the biggest difference between me and Lucifer.
That while he was once the most beloved of angels, I have only been a demon.’

:0 omg… I feel like I have a ton but each time someone asks me I either blank out or feel so ridiculous writing them out >.< But this is the second time someone’s asked for them sdjkfhd I’m also super not sure how to do this aaaaa
So Dola got together with Satan first, and that’s after a lot of encouraging on both ends from the brothers and even the Purgatory men. Bit of a slow burn, and in my head they do that thing where it’s a solid friendship that becomes very domestic and comfortable. Then one day it just hits Dola that she really wants to hold his hand as they walk back to the HoL from RAD and Satan wants to give her a kiss after she takes some tea up to his room after he’d been in there reading nonstop for several hours. Basically like… a slow burn friends-to-lovers thing!
Honestly fully believe in Satan trying to do research on what to do next to court a human once he realizes what exactly it is he’s feeling, so he does a mix of demon and human traditions which end up… Not quite working? Since they were already acting like a couple anyway so it ended up being more of the same really, which frustrates him since he can’t really tell whether Dola returns his feelings or not. Doesn’t help that he overthinks any signs he gets and that she’s actively trying to hide and shove her feelings down because she doesn’t want to enter a relationship with Satan knowing that she’s not going to live for more than a century, and even a century is pushing it. But she also really, really wants to give it a shot anyway because the alternative is ‘life’s short, so why not?’
It’s his spiel when he finally confesses that tips the scales towards them being together. What does he say? Who knows, but it made her cry and say yes.
Anyway anyway—
I firmly believe that Satan’s taste in fashion eventually gets better over time the longer he’s with Dola, and it’s partly because she’s makes it very known when she likes what he’s wearing… and she really likes it when he wears like, dark academia with a slight grungy/punk edge. I feel like I saw the term ‘punk academia’ to describe what I’m imagining but I don’t really have the fashion terms >.> She’s aware that she’s conditioning him into dressing different and makes the most of it. He knows what she’s doing as well, but since he just benefits from it with Asmo leaving him alone about his fashion sense + people telling him that he and Dola look good together since their looks match more he’s more than okay with it.
They go on a lot of odd dates, often to try something new. They’ll go try out new cafes/restaurants, go see a new gallery show, take a class to learn something that’s completely out of one or both of their skillsets/comfort zone, or spend the day at home following YouTube tutorials on how to do x thing the whole day. Or they teach each other new stuff! Dola’s tried to show Satan how to embroider, knit, felt, sew, weave; Satan’s shown her a lot of more complicated recipes, taught her latte art, book binding, for some reason I see him as good at calligraphy and origami? Not to mention dates where they just work on a piece of art or a story together. They’ve definitely made illustrated books and paintings together, which Satan’s somehow managed to make room in his room for.
He helped Dola design her tattoo. He spent a good long while helping her research flower language and helped her match flowers to him and his brothers + the Purgatory boys (though his representation on there is more the leaves and herbs, according to her).
This is so Expected but they definitely rescue cats and kittens and the occasional other animal (usually birds or dogs) and take care of them together once Satan’s living with Dola up in the human world. Mostly they foster them until they have a new home, but a foster fail (or three) is unavoidable. Sometimes Satan’s tempted to take the Ring of Light (or when Solomon’s around, the Ring of Wisdom too) just so he can get a chance to talk to the animals he encounters too, but decides against it when he remembers that there’s no telling what wearing one of them would do to a demon.
Their longest lived ‘pet’ is a little black scorpion from Asmo that lived for an unnatural 70 years. They named it Momo after the gifter and it lived in a vivarium Solomon helped them set up. It glowed pink under blacklight and shone a shimmery rose if the light hit it right.
It’s isn’t really big spoon and little spoon with them it’s mostly ‘which part of Satan is my pillow tonight?’ when they sleep lol
They’ve come up with this system for when Satan gets angry and has trouble calming down. Dola gets his attention on her then uses a pact command to get him to take a few deep breaths before she asks him what he wants to do—be comforted, break something, get distracted, or be left alone. Usually Satan goes for a vent or comfort, though each of those options lead to some comfort anyway once Satan’s calmed down and tired out.

Angry sex isn’t really much of a thing with them. Like, sex gets rough sometimes (especially once Dola’s a lot sturdier thanks to magic), but if he’s angry he’s not going to risk it in case he gets too carried away in the heat of the moment. He’s still a demon with demonic strength, after all, no matter how much control he has over himself he’s not going to fully trust himself with her being that vulnerable if he’s any amount angry.
And speaking of sex, these two don’t really get into power dynamics much and just go with what the night’s mood is. Typically goes between light giggly sex, rough fucking, or serious and romantic lovemaking. Sometimes they’ll let the other take the lead to start, and occasionally set a few rules to follow for the night to spice things up but for the most part they’re very go with the flow.
Between the two… Idk I just think they both have had no experience prior to each other. Just too many irons in the fire and both just strike me as sentimental types who’d want to have sex with someone they deeply love and for Satan he’s only started feeling emotions other than anger + hatred while Dola’s there so… >.>;; While for Dola, she was just genuinely too busy or too depressed to even entertain the thought of a relationship prior to being in the Devildom.
So lots of experimenting and exploring, for sure. They’re both curious and have a ‘don’t knock it til you try it’ attitude and thankfully they found that their kinks and turn-ons are mostly the same, and one is usually willing to compromise for the other for the ones that aren’t. Dola’s a little hard on herself for not being into that many kinks (she has… high expectations of herself in a lot of ways even if it doesn’t make sense), but after a night involving degradation and impact play went badly after she overestimated herself, Satan’s promised to make absolutely sure that she always knows he doesn’t hold any of her aversions against her.
Dola asked him if they could have sex while he’s in his demon form once. He turned her down so she never brought it up again after that, but after a while when he was comfortable and trusted himself enough that he wouldn’t hurt her, he agreed to give it a try. It turned out to be really tender, sweet night of lovemaking that had him on the receiving end of a lot of body worship and since then he’s in his demon form about half the time they fuck. And yeah I headcanon that his dick’s different when he’s in his demon form dsfhjkdf

but one human manages to lose him and in their frantic search for a place to hide, they stumble upon and an old abandoned house
the human thinks theyre safe if they stay in the home; it's not like they could leave while the nekomata was somewhere out there, and the house was the best shelter for miles around

but in the middle of the night they're awakened by a sharp pain in their eyes, waking up to find that they can't see anything no matter what they do
they try to rub their eyes, only to find that they were no longer there. only bloody holes and the torn skin of their eyelids
they remain silent, too horrified to scream
until they feel the brush of fur against their skin

I feel like for sure them playing spouse is bound to happen at some point? Like legit seems like a weird way for those two to actually considering getting married in some way irl since I do think that at some point some of the stuff in his bday UR last year happens and he proposes to Dola while they're in bed while on vacation somewhere >w< they're together for so long in general before that proposal happens that there's lots that happens
