Caitlin is a scientist - she doesn’t really do the comfort thing, at least not at first. That being said she cares, she cares so much for people that seeing someone CRYING is enough to tug on her heart strings and walk across the room...and pause short of touching Iris West. The two are friends of coincidence not of choice, and they haven’t had MUCH time to talk.
Carefully and as to not startle the reporter she reaches out and places her hand on her and moves it in a slowly circle.
“I’m sorry.” she whispers, the words hard for her to even say right now. She knows the pain of losing a loved one, yet she does not know how to approach it with someone else she doesn’t know very well. “I know how it feels.” she adds quietly.
