I didn’t do anything productive on this blog at all I’m sorry I just got plotting a new character and it kind of took up my whole night and it was nice to stretch my fingers into the fantasy original character plot bunnies once again. But I’m gonna get on after classes and do everything here~ <3

                         Caitlin is no longer surprised by strangers showing up in the lab, it really seems like someone new comes into their life just about every Tuesday or so anymore. So now it really no longer phases her when she sees someone standing there - yes, she goes on guard and yes she’s careful to approach, but the idea of there being someone in the lab isn’t new. Today, though, she’s...speechless at the presence she’s in.

                                                “You’re...” She can’t even manage to finish it, really.

                   “You know, Barry,” she watches him from where she’s sitting in the lab before threading her fingers together and tilting her head. “Since you’ve proven how fast you can go we haven’t actually given you a more thorough test. See if anything’s changed in you.” Admittedly it’s partially prompted by Jay’s test, but also the fact that it’s true - it’s been six months since his last thorough test. Why not do it while they have some time?

        It happens when he’s on the way out the bar, his lips meet with her cheek. Far too close to the corner of her mouth but not anywhere close enough and it honestly catches her off guard with surprise. It was just a kiss on the cheek it didn’t mean that much, right? Had Teddy even REALIZED what he had done?

          Before she can stop herself she’s sliding down from where she had been sitting and grabbing her coat with a hand to the bartender to finish her tab before leaving after the man she had come with. Slipping on her coat as she pushes out the door she pulls her purse over her shoulder and glances around for him, a silent curse that she might have lost him.

               “there you are.”

          Turning she straightens herself quickly and arches a brow at him as she walks over to him, confusion coloring her but also a curiosity fills her as she can make out his features.

              “Yeah, here I am.” she replies, avoiding confronting him, attempting to figure out how to go about this. “I was just thinking about getting out of here, got to be at the lab early and all.” she tells him and watches as his face falls to pieces. Leaning up she presses her lips to his quickly and then quickly hurries off - she’ll see him tomorrow, she’s certain.

                    “Do you like the color?”

             She’s teasing him as she feels his fingers twine around her hair loosely, not daring to hurt her at all as she leans forward to test his eyes wth the flashlight, thankful that heels give her enough height that she doesn’t have to go onto her tiptoes ever.

                    “Of my hair I mean, you seem fascinated by it.”

            Whatever it takes to keep him still long enough to get the tests done she’ll do, not really caring if he plays with her hair as long as he isn’t harming her. Honestly she doesn’t think he would ever hurt her, and so she’d allow him the rare permission to keep doing what he’s doing.

                 She isn’t expecting anyone to be in the lab with her for at least another hour, some peace and quiet in a place that she doesn’t think feels so empty. Her apartment is lonely and cold with the lack of laughter she would share with her ex-fiancé, and she’s adjusted to that space, and she does not mind a day there but when she has to work she would much rather be up and going early so she doesn’t have the ability to dwell.

                   Feeling fingers run over her skull and curl, scratching there’s a moment of pause, to calm the panic in her. She knows it isn’t Barry who shows up, and she’s pretty sure Cisco isn’t an early riser, and so she turns to look at the shape shifting man who had reached down to scratch at the back of her head and a smile plays briefly over her features.

                                                                        “Good morning, Teddy.”
