FLOATING!!!!!
A few people have asked me about float therapy (or floating) so I wanted to share some pictures of what the actual room and the tank/tub looks like at the place I go to!
You shower before (shampoo and body wash) and shower again after (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). You can use a head neck pillow crown thing (I do) and ear plugs (I do). You can keep a light on inside or have it completely darkness (I do darkness) and have music (regular spa music or your own playlist) or do completely silence (I do silence).
And you literally just float there in the tub, filled with 1200 pounds of epsom salt. It is amazing. It makes you feel a little loopy sometimes 😂 but it’s so good for your mind and body - I’m definitely going to go again soon.
After you shower and get dressed, you can go to the bathroom to freshen up (they don’t have any complimentary toiletries anymore thanks covid) and go hang out in the lounge for a bit (which also does not feel the same because they don’t have water or tea or Hershey kisses). It definitely felt different - masks, barely anyone was there. But it felt safe and it’s always super clean so totally wasn’t worried about that at all.
