Zombie Release Party
This was an annual event. It usually wasn’t such a big deal. Sometimes the Laveaus even did it more than once, but this year turned into a big deal because of how it kept getting shoved back and pushed aside with so many set backs. It hadn’t been the best year. But, things were picking up and gaining ground. People were feeling better after all the travesty. Sometimes it felt like there was a sense of the calm before the storm. But, for now it also felt like things were just better and good. People were riding it.
Bastien and Maddy would show up. Bastien showed up normal and dressed as himself because Flo told him they’d take care of his look when they got there. Flotsam would already be in gear with a messy skeletal face like they been rocking out on stage, but with a bit of that voodoo flair, tis the season, and ready to kick more metal zombie ass. But, they’d be smiling too much to look intimidating. That was the thing about Flo. They had this face that would look stupidly cute one minute, so goofy, and terrifying the next. They smiling too much through it to be scary as the couple was greeted to be even close to scary. “Hey guys! Glad you made it. This like the Blues Brothers. Mission from God. We need the whole band back together. Chess and Koda are here.” They’d have their old stage metal-head stage make up on too. It was a mood.
Yes, they even let down the barrier for more guests for this party. They were going to New Zealand soon. Why not have one last big bang? That was Flo’s attitude at this point. Dedra and Scout were there as Luca characters on Elsa’s Vespa. Elsa would be invited.
Actually, because this was the end game to Flotsam, everyone was invited, Ellie too, which showed Flo’s little spot for family even though they might not like to admit it. Catch this, even Anna and Kristoff were invited right at the very end. You want a welcome to the family? Zombie Release was probably a good day for that because no one was coming to his Christmas. That was sacred if they lasted here that long and frankly they didn’t think they would.
Chip, and one Raya, and his extra guest, the Senior President of the Zombie Apocalypse Club at the human school was coming. Chip and young Ray would already be there. They’d be dressed as War Boy and Immortan Joe from Mad Max ready to kick zombie ass and beat the competition. They’d wave from a punch bowl and snack buffet outside as soon as they saw Maddy and Bas be lead in.
Flotsam would be guiding them in the house. “Come. Come. I got everything set in my vanity room to get you gussied up like Jet.”
Bastien was looking around. There were lots of people here and he could smell death. He for some reason didn’t expect that. Real zombies. Real smell. Real deal was out there somewhere. He just couldn’t see it yet. There were a lot of camp friends there like Jori, Jazz, Darius, Jesula, Zeke, and Brigitte. Angela would be invited if Thomas thought it was an okay idea. Flotsam would leave that up to Thomas.
