Silent Auction

There's a charity art auction happening on Saturday, proceeds split between the charity and the artist. That's a bit nicer than just asking us to give paintings, so I took two pieces to town today. The venue plans to hold a wine-tasting during the afternoon, then the silent auction immediately after. That sounds kinda strategic; I hope it works!

I don't usually get the opportunity to exhibit work in the spring, so I'm hoping someone buys these. It's pretty demoralizing to donate to a silent charity auction and have the piece given back at the end because nobody wanted it. That has happened to me, and I was not a happy camper.
