Prince Pine stepped up to the counter, digging through his pocket awkwardly and setting a small handful of coins in front of Isabella. "Umm... I-I'm not sure how many tickets this will get me. I just wanted to help out what I can."

Isabella leaned forward, looking at the small pile, smiling warmly at the young prince. “Aww, sweetie, thank you so much! Ten coins will get you five tickets, and we thank you so much! Every coin helps~”

She grabbed a pen and slid the extra couple of coins back to him, ripping off the tickets. “What name can I put on the tickets, sweetie?”

Bartholomew wasn’t very sure about coming to the ball. Had it not been for Ernie’s quick thinking and absurd magic nonsense, he wouldn’t even have an outfit. It was nice, the colors were loud, but seemed to complement each other. He stuck out of the crowd like a sore thumb. The cape, however, was what Bartholomew most disliked about he costume.

He was simply strolling around, hoping not to get in anyone’s way, but his cape managed to tug. It seemed to have caught on something, or rather, someone! He turned and quickly found that someone had been caught underneath it.

“Oh dear!! I’m so sorry!” Bartholomew quickly pulled the cape off of a spindly man. His light blue hair was a bit messy from the entanglement, and Bartholomew kneeled down to thoroughly apologize once again. “I’m so sorry, I ain’t all that used to wearing capes! I-I didn’t mean for you to get caught underneath it!!

I like to imagine Reine as the sort of parent that totally ‘encourages’ stupid things--like trying to teach Lily to hunt at 3 years old--but completely shuts down and panic whenever something wrong happens.
