People’s fascination with flower shop AUs used to baffle me because as someone who used to be a florists assistant I can assure you that in reality it’s just like working in a fast food or other retail place. Like... it sucks ya’ll, your on your feet all day, you work weird often long hours and you have a lot of shitty ungrateful customers too. Also bugs!!! But I get that it’s been romanticized to hell and back and I can’t say I haven’t fallen victim to that before either and sometimes I even miss working in the flower shop so I can see how it got to be romanticized in the first place. But like still, you don’t see people romanticizing regular retail work? Or work at fast food places? It’s interesting. I guess the flowers fool people.
