1. debbie really admires tiffany. debbie simply is a bit awkward and very uncomfortable around more than one or two people at a time if she isn’t extremely close to them. she also wears out easily from social situations while tiffany always seems to thrive in them. there’s a little bit of jealousy there, but mostly debbie just admires tiffany’s ability to flirt and socialize so easily. though ... deb will admit that she finds tiffany to be lacking in the intelligence department, but thinks that she makes up for it in other areas. she really only teases to make herself feel better. often, debbie will actually quote or imitate some of tiffany’s mannerisms when she’s trying to flirt.
2. tiffany gives debbie relationship advice, and is lowkey kind of her wingwoman. after a while, i can see debbie confessing her crush on buggzy to tiffany because she sees her as such an expert with boys. tiffany trying to set them up and it never working for whatever reason would be a really cute idea. just them talking about past relationships, and debbie being clueless as to why hers never seem to work out. tiffany pointing out that she’s very emotionally closed off and isolates herself from other people and encouraging her to not do that. but also tiffany teaching debbie about refusing to give boys not worth their time the time of day ... cough shelly cough.
3. they sneak around right under jason’s nose. 9 & 10/10 stealth bois. really they make a pretty decent team, and i can see them really supporting each other after jason shows up. tiffany is a bit more composed than deb, so i can also see tiffany holding deb’s hand while they sneak through the woods. just them huddled together in a tent or under a bed and hugging each other to keep each other calm and quiet while jason searches for them. they won’t be taking jason down themselves, but tiffany has the stamina to run him around and distract him when they do inevitably get found while debbie can quickly repair the car or boat so that they can make their daring escape.
4. debbie likes to teach tiffany things. everything from how to play her handheld video games to how to change a tire, debbie just likes teaching people things in general. especially tiffany because she already looks up to her, so being able to be the one teaching her makes deb feel really good. she’s very patient with tiffany, and is willing to repeat instructions as many times as necessary. i can see tiffany becoming really good at some of the video games and actually beating debbie at them. which means victory hugs!! and betting things like making deb go to a party or having tiffany wear one of deb’s outfits out on a date!!
