This is my entry for @flubberberry ‘s contest on @talesofaeriatora !
Meet Antimonio the gunmage!
He can be sort of sassy at times, but is kind of indifferent to insults, often agreeing with them.
He’s almost never without a smile and is very confident in his skills, but knows when the odds are stacked against him. He’s not afraid to back out of a fight or a deal if things get too much. Basic survival, it’s logical.
He also speaks a bit of Spanish, and it’s not unusual for him to switch back and forth between English and Spanish. Neither for him to slip an insult in Spanish.
He often takes on all sorts of odd jobs, from hunts to babysitting.
Now, being a demon of greed doesn’t mean he’s desperate for money, but he does pursuit it. It makes more sense when you know it’s because he uses the coins to infuse his bullets.
Antimonio uses alchemy to infuse coins with either an elemental or an effect.
The coins uses depends of the worth. The purer the gold or silver, the longer they can be used before dissolving.
The odd one out is the blind coin. Instead of infusing his bullets with it by sticking it in his pistol, he has to throw it and shoot it from a distance.
When he isn’t using a coin, the bullets are just pure magic. They aren’t as strong as someone with normal bullets, just like his elemental bullets aren’t as strong as a normal mage’s, but it does make him more flexible.
Close combat is not his strong point.
