Alt universe Harcourt loves puppies. Adebayo loves puppies. I think in this universe if Emilia didn't have such a crazy life she'd love them too. You can't say she doesn't get lonely- she misses her friend- and maybe she wants someone who can curl up in bed with her that will be loyal and doesn't have any ulterior motives. Let's say she doesn't get her job back at Argus by pretending to sell out Chris. Let's say she and Leota are still scraping by, but Leota's finally managed to get visiting rights to her dogs. And maybe they take a liking to Emilia, just like their mommy does.

Saying "Get humidified, idiot!" after I turn on Gideon's favourite thing and she sticks her face into the vapour outlet

I genuinely love telling her "It's time to refill the humidifier!" and she races with me to the sink. Then watches as the tank is filled. (Although it gets a little dicey when she wants to stick her face in the tank as it's being filled)

And telling her "It's humidifier time!" and she races me back to the base. She'll get up on the table and watch and wait until the tank is set then half climb up to wait for sweet sweet water vapour.
