He sits down behind Sephiroth, back to back, leaning just SLIGHTLY against him. Then reaches out to interlace their fingers, for good measure.

"Want me to read your palm?" he asks innocently, humming and peering over the creases and lines in deep, serious thought.

"This one says you're cute."

Warmth spreads its tendrils so slowly, so tenderly. From the hard point of their shoulder blades and where they touch in outlines, following along the curvature of their spines, blossoming outward and over the protective cage of their ribs.

Genesis, soothsayer. Diviner of silly words, soft nothings.

A fingertip, Genesis's, traces along the face of his palm. ‘Ticklish,’ comes close to describing the sensation and the urge to trap the other man’s hand with his own once more. Sephiroth accepts the compliment with a quiet snort.

“And yours?”

Sephiroth flips the position of their hands, pushes his thumb gently along the creases of Genesis’s palm. He maps it, forms the lines of it in his mind and commits it carefully to memory. Then, he hazards a guess. “Does it say, hopeless romantic somewhere on there?”
