fluffy-and-deadly Violet nodded silently, eyes fluttering shut as she used the gentle rise and fall of his chest and faint, faraway heartbeat as her own little lullaby. She hadn't gotten that much sleep, in total, and could use a few more hours.
New Chapter
Makenzie held the little boy swaddled in a light blue blanket to her chest. She knew she would see Patrick and her father soon enough. She took this time to rest her eyes and think back on the last three days. Makenzie woke in the middle of the night wet and in pain. She remebered Patrick running around trying to get her to the hospital. She was in labor for three days before the doctors dialted her further. Makenzie pushed for two hours before her son was born. Her loving fiance dotted in the two of them before she had finally ordered him to go home and shower. "I love you little man." She cooed down at the baby. "I wonder what we're gonna name you."
