I don’t take pride in triggering people. It’s actually pretty much the opposite. Since you’re writing to me here, it’s quite clear that you aren’t exactly aware of what tags are for. If someone is triggered by incest, they just have to blacklist wincest and they won’t see anything about it. I tag EVERY SINGLE wincest post for this very reason. That’s what the tag is for - so that people can avoid it if they don’t like it (honestly, though: why are you here if it bothers you? It makes no sense to me).
I don’t like “incest” as a general issue. I like wincest, as a particular pairing. I like it when it’s two people in a consensual situation, not an abusive one, nor one with rape or consent issues. I like it because Sam and Dean are in a very particular, extreme situation: they grew up only having each other as an affective figure. I’m not saying it’s healthy – it’s not – but that’s the way it is, canonically. Anyway, the particular reasons why I like them as a couple are none of your business and clearly don’t interest you, as much as the ones of people who ship other non-incestuous pairings.
So please, please, since I have explained my reasons, which I didn’t have to – just leave the tag alone. Blacklist it, blog about how much you hate it, but stop tagging your posts with it. It doesn’t make sense, it only annoys both you (because you see posts you clearly don’t like), and us wincest shippers (because we obviously don’t like having to read unrelated stuff or hate in our tag).
