“ don’t be ashamed of crying ”

♔ —— | Gentle words that nearly crumbled the force that kept her strict and unreadable. However, despite how hard she was trying to keep herself in one piece, she could feel something within her cracking bit by bit. Autumn irises narrowed to the ground, weighed with sorrow and anger as she bit harshly on her lip to refrain from making any kind of emotional plea. The burden of the crown was a heavy one to bear and with the thousands of lives depending on her – there were no time for tears. 

After all, crying wouldn’t help anyone. No matter how strongly she agreed with such a notion, the mist seeped into her eyes and rested on her waterline. Squeezing her hand upon her lap, she tried to fight the tears but it was too late – her heart was more powerful than the mind as it was incapable of lying. 

Gently the crystal droplets would streak down her porcelain skin and it was then she closed her eyes and sighed heavily. There wasn’t a whimper or a howl but a silent cry from the dove. “…I’m sorry.” She would say in a quivering voice.  It was all too heavy but to cry in front of a stranger, a girl who read her soul as if she was wearing it on her sleeve, was inexcusable.

blue eyes widened a little as he processed what she just said to him. his brows lifting to his forehead with a soft surprise. did kairi just call him a dork ? a soft dork ? was that a compliment or a polite insult ? he couldnt help but feel a little slighted. finally reacting, his head and torso then dropped. both his head and arms dangling in defeat. he slumped over like she actually wounded him with her words. 

a dork ? he wasnt a dork, right ?

taking another moment to consider it everything, he finally lifted his head up. his dejection now replaced with a new reaction. if kairi says he is a dork, then it must be true. she wouldnt lie to him.. so be it. it would be much better to just accept it !

crossing his eyes and offering the cheesiest smile he could, he gave the most dork-like face he could muster. his only goal was to make his most cherished friend laugh. if it was for kairi, he didnt mind looking like a goof.

‘ how was that .. ? ‘   he grinned at her, dropping his silly face to something more warm and caring. his elbow lifting to playfully nudge her.   

‘ if you like it.. then i am okay with being a dork. ‘

Yuffie, Cid, Aerith, and Even Leon was left on the floor, slain but not dead, but possibly barely alive. Among them was one figure slowly making his way toward the princess in pink that peacefully slept whilst others perform rigorous duties in hopes to find his brother. Gold hues glance her direction from under the helmet, then turning towards the terminal that kept her stable in a sleep-like state. Her plan was somewhat sound but executed poorly in his opinion.

“Hmph.” The unverse spoke under his breath, flames began to form at the tip of his blade and with one swipe the sphere of fire was launched towards the computer. Making a loud crash followed by a small explosion before removing her from her stasis. But, she had not yet awakened from her slumber. “Heh.” A grin actually formed under the helmet before steps forward, putting her unconscious body over his shoulder. Using his ties to the darkness to erect a doorway that leads from this world towards another. 

The world he chose was the private woods of Twilight Town, her body was then thrown into an array of soft leaves as he stood there waiting for her to awaken. “Wakey wakey Red.”
