I know, that’s sort of the joke. But my point was that they didn’t give Malik the shirt to begin with. Originally in the manga, Malik’s kind of ridiculous purple crop top hoodie with a black leather shirt underneath was supposed to signal inner darkness, (or something like that) but they totally skipped giving him the undershirt so Yami Malik wearing it came out of nowhere since he apparently just... stole it from laundry or something.
