So if Solvej knew about the thieves guild/Maven situation, how would she hand it? I was just thinking about it, and I cant really imagine Solvej would be very fond of a corrupt rich person with ties to the thieves guild and lots of illegal imperial trade who's rying to takeover the riften government
oh yeah she’d HATE maven. solvej never had any involvement with the thieves guild (besides maybe throwing brynjolf into the canal for hassling her) but she’d think of maven as a risk in general, since its really not hard to see how she has hands in a lot of shady stuff and is lying in wait to make a power play. solvej would have a sort of begrudging Respect for the sheer craftiness involved, but absolutely LOATHES her and what she stands for.
in her time before declaring herself a god-king, i think there might have been a few confrontations between them. nothing deadly but just two very capable nasty people threatening each other
when solvej takes over, all the stormcloak allied jarls (and a few others) are deposed and/or executed, maven would be barred from being the replacement jarl (which she is ingame) and would likely have been on the block for execution as well for various crimes (though i expect she’d flee first)
