“...What.”

the pegasus was nothing like the unicorns in his world, she had a beautiful coat as well as mane, and from the looks of her, she wasn’t feral--so he had to smile when she took the apple from his hand.
she was timid, maybe, but she seemed friendly enough, and as she thanked him, ian’s eyes widened in amazement.
“you can talk!” none of the unicorns could do that around here, sure the centaurs could, but nothing else with a equine built. “where did you come from?” he would question, wishing he had something more to offer the pony.

rainbow was doing her best to get back on her feet, she could tell that there were two broken ribs--blast her for not being a unicorn, she could have easily’ve mended her bones together and that would be the end of that. however, seeing that she wasn’t, the pegaus would have to suck it up for a few moments.
breathing heavily, her eyes opened once she was on all fours, her ears pinning back from the pain she felt, and she looked at fluttershy.
“i need to go to the hospital..” she hated depending on others, but she also knew that if she didn’t get the help she needed things could get bad quickly.

“Oh, ah… sorry. Thought fa a minute you were somepony else.”
That wasn’t strictly true; but the way the older mare had recoiled from her sharp response sat a little uneasily with Babs. Sure, she didn’t much care for uninvited adults poking into her business, which had been the main source of her sharp retort… but she hadn’t expected for it to visibly bother the other.
One time, perhaps, that wouldn’t have troubled her at all; but even if the Manehattan girl was still rough around the edges, she’d learned better than to make others suffer for her own insecurities.
She gave a little shrug, shuffling over far enough to make room for Fluttershy to join her on the bench.
“Guess I’m still not used to de way you Ponyville lot watch out fa everyone. In Manehattan, somepony approaching a stranger would be tryna sell her something.”
That much was definitely true.
flutter-butters liked for a Lapis starter
@flutter-butters
She knew she had wanted to get as far away as possible, but this... seemed a bit much. Lapis wasn’t even sure of where she was anymore. The sight of animals made her think of Earth, as did the green all around them, but she was sure it couldn’t be. There were so many equines...
All Lapis could think to do was shapeshift to blend in. It had been a long time since she’d shapeshifted, but somehow she managed to take on the form of a blue earth pony. Truthfully? She wasn’t sure what the strange markings she’d seen on the ponies’ hindquarters were. Still, she’d fashioned herself a marking similar to some water droplets. It would just have to do, and she’d have to hope that no one noticed the gem in between her shoulder blades.
Act natural, she told herself. If she could find someone to tell her where she was, then that was all she could ask for. It just so happened that she saw a yellow and pink pony just ahead of her.
“Um... hi,” Lapis said. Stars, this was going to be awkward. “I was wondering if you could help me with something? I’m a little lost...”
@flutter-butters
“So... I decided to try out something from one of my old man’s spellbooks... and apparently the hair was one of Starlights?”
Might as well admit it now before she wonders why “Starlight” was acting strange.
@flutter-butters, continued from X.
“I was... trying to get some more air for a trick.”
That hadn’t worked out at all like Scootaloo had wanted. She knew better than to scooter near a cliff, but that hadn’t exactly stopped her. The truth was that she still desperately wanted to fly. All she had gotten was a few bruises, scrapes, and foliage stuck in her mane and tail. Fluttershy was right. Scootaloo had been lucky not to get seriously hurt.
“I thought maybe I could use my wings and really do something impressive of I got more speed and went downhill. But I didn’t think the cliff would be that rocky. Or steep,” she explained. Her ears folded back, and her wings gave a small, shameful flap. It wasn’t like Fluttershy would judge her. She was a friend. It just wasn’t the easiest thing to admit.

“Stars, you’re an exceptionally beautiful creature, aren’t you...? How Lovely...”
