Re indoor ear bonnet use. Yes it's mostly for noise canceling, they prevent the cotton balls from bouncing out but they make ear bonnets that muffle noise as well
Thanks! Kinda forgot about earplugs! They’re legal in showjumping but not in dressage, right?
May I ask a stupid question? I feel rather foolish, but what is the purpose of the crocheted bonnets on all the show jumping horses? I've mainly seen them used outdoors, or to keep away flies. But they also seem to be very popular indoors, so I'm wondering if they have a function or if they just look pretty? Thank you, and I love your blog!

Maybe the bonnet/fly veil also muffles up a little bit the noise going on around?? Maybe they keep it for the sponsors? Habit? Idk

Bling It Up
I also had another project I took on when I went on my vacation. I took a page out of Lauren at SheMovedtoTexas‘ book and decided to bling up one of the inexpensive USG Fly Veils. Guys I need your help!
I want to buy one of these because they are super cheap and also the site has free delivery today which saves me a even more - Lulu's got a nose net so it might be good to try out a fly veil too and see whether that helps as well - but I'm stuck between which colour to choose. I like the pink because she has raspberry lining on her rug, but I like the red and blue because I'm not really a fan of purple...hm, which do you prefer?
