“I’ve been waiting all month for these horror movies!” Dash said to no one in particular. He walked with his eyes glued to his phone, looking at tonights listing of movies just released on Netflix. He paid no attention to where he was walking.
Clockwork watched Dash walk home by himself, staring at his phone. Nothing particular was happening, so he could afford to watch Dash. As he watched, he found it terribly ironic that Dash of all people wanted to watch horror movies. He was a horror himself to many people, one of which Clockwork cared for, yet he wanted to be scared. On a supposedly unlucky day, too.
Dash wanted to be scared. Clockwork scanned the timelines. Nothing bad would come from him interfering, so he figured he could oblige Dash.
Time stopped. Suddenly, Clockwork appeared beside Dash in one of his blue-energy clock-shaped portals. He snagged Dash’s phone and began typing with it. Though it was possible, Clockwork wasn’t particularly skilled at possessing and manipulating technology, and he couldn’t hijack the programming from a distance as it simply wasn’t what his magic was made form.
But stopping time and using it manually himself? That, Clockwork could do. He swiftly typed a message in Dash’s phone before placing it back in Dash’s grasp, turning himself invisible and intangible, and resuming time.
Dash would suddenly find a message on his phone that read, “I’ll enjoy these horrors, too, Dash”.
