Kasumi gave his friend a grateful smile. Perhaps he would tell her about his past one day, but not today. “Actually... there’s a small part of me that hopes I never find him. I don’t know what he’ll do if we ever meet again... but I have so many questions to ask,” he said with a sad sigh. As they left the building Kasumi hid his halo once more, no longer in need of the light. “Alright. How about we go home so you can wash the blood off your clothes,” he said, giving the blood-covered shirt a worried look. Yet he was relieved at the fact that the blood did not belong to her. He also had some personal qualms with the police related to his first day in the city... He didn’t like to think about that embarrassment. “This isn’t how I planned our first flight together to go, but... should I fly you home?”
“Well as I see it if it’s meant to be you’ll find him...”. Even though she hadn’t a clue why or who he was looking for she hoped it worked out.
Being covered in someone else’s blood didn’t bother Kiki too much though it felt sticky and a bit gross. “Yeah that would probably be a good idea!” She stared down at the kitten in her arms. “This one could also use a bath....I’ll text Garridan when we get home and see if she can stay with him since the apartment complex doesn’t allow animals.” As much as she would love to keep Midnight in her apartment she knew it would only cause trouble. She perked up at the mention of flying. “That would be amazing! Do you want to go flying Midnight?” The furball looked up at Kiki and mewed as though responded.
