It's time. I've been wanting to rewatch FMAB, and I've revisited several eps over the past week or so, and decided that damn it, yeah, I absolutely GOTTA make myself rewatch the whole thing, in order, for maximum hype. Being a few years older and knowing the story, it's going to be interesting what I pick up now that I didn't see before.

But to keep myself motivated , which means it's liveblogging commentary time. Spoilers abound, obviously. Here we go.

cannot stress enough that i actually do think its better to start w the first fma anime and not the second one

the first like ten episodes of brotherhood are just a suuuuuuuper rushed retelling of things that took their time and had impact in the 2003 one / if you remember the 2003 one

but they fall totally flat without the extra time and detail and i have seen this happen again and again w people new to the series

so i’m glad i made a tag bc i’m finally gonna watch brotherhood starting tomorrow

i’ve been warned that it’s darker than 03 fma, and that terrifies me because i literally never got to the end of an 03 episode without being in tears and now i’m being told brotherhood is worse? 

(like literally, you guys, my mom loves to break out the story of when hughes’ death aired and i came running into her room at 1 in the morning in such hysterics that she thought someone had died irl and it took her like 10 minutes to figure out what the fuck)

im fucked but im going to at least die a horrible tear-filled death while falling in love with yet another sad immortal dad
