@the-flame-and-hawks-eye: I am so, SO glad you like this, you have no idea!! Especially because of the Hayate part, because I really wanted to emphasize that Roy and Riza WOULD be careful about letting an animal close to their baby (even if it’s their pet - there’s always this chance of some accident happening even though they trust Hayate completely) and I kind of wanted to find a balance between emphasizing that and also showing that they DO trust Hayate to an extend (especially with supervision of course, but later on also without it). And it’s especially nerve-wrecking since you’re a vet and I don’t even own a pet to make it believable xD
I’m so, so happy and honored that you like the idea enough to incorporate it <3 Though don’t feel pressured to do it! There’s probably still some time before you get to the ending (I hope so! :D) and if there’s any change of plans, I’m TOTALLY cool with it :3
