Yeet ya girl was just at the Florida Marching Band Championships (I did NOT perform; my band is not ready). What a fun night, band is so cool when people take it seriously
Haven't sat up here in a while my first paying gig was rite here every bass player started on drums #Facts #FMBC
I sound completely different in this video 😅 anyway today was the band's last rehearsal, and it was my last time preforming for the seniors cuz I'm graduating next year 😭 I'm happy I made this far, I'm looking forward to states, and definitely looking forward to compete at the dome 👉😎👉 It's been a long and bumpy ride BOM, let's keep it up for the last 3 days!!! #fmbc #roadtostates #marchingband #hype (at Felix Varela Senior High School)
Idk why but whenever daylight savings comes around, I'm willing to pull off the 200% effort for the final rehearsals we have left, time will tell if we make it to the dome. It's a high possibly tbh, for now, I'm gonna prepare for my final senior run through, man time flys by quick, it's like if the brother recruited me yesterday, I'm so proud to be apart of the BOM. But yeah it's time Varela brings home the big trophies :))) One shot, one choice! #marchingband #roadtostates #fmbc (at Felix Varela Senior High School)
The Blue Coat Regiment Ends Their 2015 Tour
Yesterday the Blue Coat Regiment took part in the Florida Marching Band Coalition Class 4A State Championships at Gaither High School. The Regiment competed in the semi-finals portion of the event which, due to the threat of rain throughout the evening, was moved inside the gym - this resulted in all bands performing at a standstill, meaning only the captions of individual, ensemble and general effect music, percussion and color guard were judged.
Despite not having any drill to go along with the music the band had their strongest performance to date.
“You could feel the energy and intensity in their playing, and even their step-outs and visuals,” said Mr. Miller, Assistant Marching Band Director.
The band ended the night with our seniors on the field for the awards ceremony and taking home a trophy for 10th place with a score of 47.8 out of 60 (due to the adjustments made for it being a standstill show).
Director Mr. B had this to say, “I want to stress that 10 is just a number - the band's performance was their best they had all season long, and that is all we ask of our students, so to say I am proud is an understatement. This has been a great first year of teaching for me and I’m honored to have shared it with the incredibly talented students, parents and staff at Riverview.”
The final hit of my baby brother’s last finals performance with the Golden Eagle Marching Band 🙌 (at Tropicana Field)
