with the surprisingly rare occurrence of all six house mates in the villa at the same time, sung thought it might be a good idea to cook some food for everyone. filling up their stomachs when they might otherwise be too busy to do so themselves was one small thing he could offer them.
though, it wasn’t entirely selfless. aside from his own grumbling stomach’s satiation as well, it could be a good break from the relentlessness of his negative thoughts. to do so, taejin or duri might not have been the best choices. he’d think it was more likely some kind of emotional talk would happen with either of those people, when what he needed was the ungentle touch of someone who didn’t yet know his mind. of the three other housemates, sung knew daehyun the least, and as labelmates, he ought be stepping in the right direction to change that.
sung had roped daehyun into helping him cook. over the last year or so, sung had been working on his cooking skills more, yet another reason to cook for the house, but even still, he was terrible with keeping watch of the timing. a simple meal was best, if he didn’t want to sour everyone’s palates. ramen, rice, meat. nothing too far out of his range. “um, so, could you please wash some rice and i’ll cut the meat?” sung started back to the fridge, but shut it a few inches out. “-oh, sorry, i should start the water.” flinging through a cupboard, sung finally found a pot that would be big enough for their purposes, then filled it, set it down, and tried his best not to flinch when the flames came up. when he’d stood up again, sung clapped his hands, “right! sorry about that, go ahead.” he went back to his previous task, getting meat out of the fridge and setting himself up with a cutting board and knife. he’d prefer scissors, but in the states... who knew where those had been?
“so, do you cook for the vive members around the dorm? i’ve heard there tends to be one cook who stands out.” in his own dorm, it’d been yujin, but-- focus. vive. daehyun. meat.
