by the time she doubled back around, a part of kami had accepted the loss. the only small, very small bright spot had been the fact that she spotted another idol in the area of the park she had just left. it was early enough for her run that there was a chance not many people had passed by. “hey!” as she got closer, her run turned into a small jog before she came to a stop. “i was just running a little off the trail here..”

there was a path but she enjoyed going a bit off path, not too much but enough not to be bothered. “have you seen a wallet? sort of small, black and red...” it didn’t have her name on it, it as fairly normal wallet in her eyes. “i had ran a bit ahead when i realized i didn’t have it, it must have fallen out at some point.”

jiyoo could admit she didn’t have much interest in an art gallery but she wanted to at hit every spot once at least. it only confirmed one thing for her, it was more fun when she was with someone. she knew good art (what was considered to her at least) and it was easy to be amazed but the feeling of it rolled off quickly. after the awe, there wasn’t much left. 

“what do you think about this piece?’ the words came out of her mouth as she stopped in front of a piece of art. turning her head to the person next to her, jiyoo turned back to the art and cocked her head to the side. “it’s not a trick question, i mean it, i look at it and other than being impressed by other people’s talent...i don’t feel anything, no critical eye.”

she’d be willing to endure the public for alice. they could’ve had another hang out her place. it’s what kami would’ve been happy with but she felt like it would’ve been boring. so, today, they would be going out and interacting with the world and kami would put up with it. 

“we have a bit until dinner...” kami pulled out her phone, looking away from alice for a second. it was easier to meet up at the company, if they met her place, it’d be moving further away from the place she picked out. “want to do a little shopping? it isn’t far and there a few shops...or whatever you want to do, the main event is dinner.”

“this will be the first time i’m going shopping for my place.” when she moved into her first apartment, her parents helped her out. everything she currently had in her place belong to her parents but since kami was making a change, this would be the best. she loved her parents and they had have her style down somewhat but this was going to be all her (with the help of minhee). “and the best part is being able to do it from home.”

once she had her laptop set up and connected to her tv, a few furniture store tabs were already open. “where would be without online shopping...wait...don’t answer that.” kami knew it, she’d be forced to interact with people and it wasn’t something she wanted, this was way easier. “today, we spend all of the money i saved.”

at this point, jiyoo saw lily as a sort of older sister. they had about four years between them but it was the fact that she put up with jiyoo that allowed the friendship to blossom. jynx, by her own admission was a clumsy mess. like a puppy in an adults body but minah put up with it. 

somehow. 

like now, she had invited the other woman over and they’d talk, eat and watch drama’s. jiyoo’s chosen snack had been ice cream and it was such a short walk from her kitchen to her living room. but by the time she entered said living room, she was covered in raspberry cheesecake. “again, second time this week.” she turned to minah with a pout. “and this was the last tub of this flavor. i’m left with mint chocolate chip and i hate mint chocolate ship.” 

“and i know, why did i get mint choco if i hate it, i was trying to not hate it.”

it was good to have some time to herself before they went on tour. soon enough, it’d be back to back to back concert dates. she wouldn’t be in korea for a while and plans got tiring pretty quickly once you were always in them. “alright, so i’ve come with everything.” once she was inside daehyun’s place, she pulled her cap and face mask off. 

and that was after she put the snacks and movies down. “i brought a bunch of snacks, i have pop, beer...action movies in english, korean, thai and german....movie night is finally ago!” there was a small fist pump that went along with her words. “are you ready?”
