to the anon: guess weâll never know.Â
jiyoo could admit she didnât have much interest in an art gallery but she wanted to at hit every spot once at least. it only confirmed one thing for her, it was more fun when she was with someone. she knew good art (what was considered to her at least) and it was easy to be amazed but the feeling of it rolled off quickly. after the awe, there wasnât much left.Â
âwhat do you think about this piece?â the words came out of her mouth as she stopped in front of a piece of art. turning her head to the person next to her, jiyoo turned back to the art and cocked her head to the side. âitâs not a trick question, i mean it, i look at it and other than being impressed by other peopleâs talent...i donât feel anything, no critical eye.âÂ
⏠famedexclusive gala: chilling at the bar @open
max heaves a sigh. heâs not even in the mood for drinks but when things had kind of begun picking up by the photo booth heâd escaped here in hopes of getting a nice one on one conversation instead of being tossed into a cluster of familiar and unfamiliar faces.
he signals to the bartender to mix him something light and fruity and doesnât bother to really pay attention what kind of drink heâll be served.
instead he turns to take in his surroundings and wonders where his bandmates are or his friends. he distinctly thinks of duri who definitely is right in his element at this gala or jace who probably takes joy in observing people around him and gathering intel with which he can judge them later. the thought makes him smile and his thoughts continue to drift to how joohwan had made sure he looked stunning tonight or wondering how rioh would react seeing him- how the maknae himself looked right now.
inhaling and exhaling his gaze is so far away in space that he completely misses a person actually approaching him.
she was the type of person to make conversation. it came easily, especially when she had a few drinks of her combined with being a little danced out. it was also easy for her to make mistakes. like walking up to someone throwing her arm around them, âi lost you on the dance....â jiyoo trailed off as finally took a good look at who she had just slung her arm around.Â
âoops, you are not who i thought you were.â and then she removed her arm, giving a small embarrassed wave. âthat was my mistake but how are you doing tonight?â it was true that she only got a little comfortable because she thought it was someone she knew. that wouldnât stop her from striking up a conversation, that came easy. even if she did make a blunder.Â
âdo you think whoever came up with the theme of this gala was smart enough to catch the fact that among the stars could be a reference to the starry decorations as well as the guest celebrities or do you think iâm overthinking all of this and giving them too much credit?âÂ
initially, jaein hadnât given much thought to the theme of the gala. hell, she barely gave any thought to the gala itself other than noticing that it was just another addition on her schedule board. once she stepped in, however, sheâs noticed that this wasnât just some regular company-held event. no, it seemed quite clear that it was more than that. the amount of money that must have gone into the venue was insane, and she could imagine so many better ways that money could have been spent.Â
âi took a peak at the garden, and itâs clear that theyâve put a lot of thought and money into this. the whole ceiling looked like it cost more than my yearly salary,â she confessed with a scoff. she hadnât spent too much time there because every second she stayed in the garden, the more she realized that it was bathing in crystals. a little too much for her poor eyes.
open!!
âwhile i do think they caught the theme.â jiyoo looked around her. âyou still might be giving them too much credit. who knows?â honestly, it wasnât even something that had passed her mind, jiyoo was in full swing of being able to dress up and go to something fancy like a gala. if it wasnât as if she hadnât been to them before but the dress up was always a fun part.Â
âoh?â jiyoo looked to the side, âi havenât been to the garden yet but it sounds pretty at least.â and she could also see it costing more money than one idol would ever see. fancy wasnât knew to her but she didnât consider her step-motherâs money hers. âi guess, itâs always a fun night to pretend like we could ever own all of this.âÂ
what would she even do with all of this?Â
fmdjaceâ:
âyou are great company, but me being my own company is the best company.â as quirky and funny as jihoon could get, he really did prefer his own time. there were very few people he would willingly take time out of his day to spend with them. however, jiyoo fell in that category to an extend. afterall, they were at his place drinking âprobably suffer to be honest, no one else agreed to drink and play games with me tonight, so, big gold star for effort in your file.â he adds, grin pulling on his lips.
âlisten, greasy foods after drinking? the best. hand down, that, or a nice spicy soup.â jihoon gives his two cents. he didnât feel the effect of the shots just yet, but something at the back of his head was telling him that the morning would be somewhat of a bitch.. âsamn, still not feeling great? despite having me as company? iâm offended, if the alcohol makes you like me even more than usual, iâm never inviting you over.â he complains, al lighthearted and not meaning anything he says. he pours himself another shot and slides the bottle to jiyoo âthe question is, what are the interior motives behind seeing me naked you know? thats the real question.â he asks back, brow raised at the other as he downs the next shot.
âwell..â jiyoo cocked her head to the side, squinting at him. âi donât accept that narrative. iâm the best company. thank you.â she was half-serious, half-not. she wouldnât really force herself to be the best company but she was shameless enough to say that she was. âsee thatâs why i am the best, because now youâre not suffering alone.â though, if he wanted some drinking buddies, she knew a few people.Â
âare you saying weâre gonna get greasy food? iâll pay.â a laugh left her mouth and jiyoo dragged her hand through her hair. âlet me say it this way, iâm feeling great now but soon enough, iâll be heads above the clouds.â as if she wasnât there already. âyouâll never be rid of me, i promise.â and she would make good on it. âi feel like youâre trying to kill me but here we go.â she poured herself another shot, throwing it back quickly. it took a second, just a second before she get past the taste. âmaybe, i just like a good naked body, some fun things you can do it.â
fmdjaceâ:
âthe best company.â he teases, âno need to, my coach already reminds me every time i hit the gym.â jihoon canât help but chuckle at the way she brings up the sandwich specifically. âlisten, the energy drinks were the best. i donât i have ever had a sugar free drink. if iâm gonna be unhealthy, might as well go full on out you know?â health wasnât something jihoon cared about much during his trainee days, because god, five years were enough for him to just loosen up a bit. he did manage to pull through when he was informed about his debut.
âglad you depends on me for that. we will see how it goes.â he laughs out, keep up with her pace of shots. he wasnât going to push her, but god, had it been a while since he had a good set of shots. he loved drinking but schedules were always a pain and having a day or two off and getting jiyoo to have fun with him? he was taking this opportunity. âcoffee machine or two week of pizza. both are good. iâm not running naked on the street, if you wanted to see me naked, you should have picked a better plan.â he teases, but jihoon doesnât wait for her to take her next shot, throwing it back and his three empty glasses now sit between them on the table.
âas bad as it is, i do agree.â she paused for a second, âand i mean that for the health thing, i think iâm the best company, what would you do without me?â not streak for one but those were the small details. and still, she couldnât say much, her life was lived on sweets and everything filled with sugar that she could get her hands on.Â
a giggle slipped out, she knew it would. jiyoo gave no illusion that she was a heavy weight when it came to drinking. two shots, this quickly could already be considered dangerous. âhmmm....pizza for two weeks, food over coffee, especially greasy food.â with that, she grabbed the next one, throwing it back and setting the glass down with a slight bang. âfuck, iâm goona feel great in the next few minutes and horrible in the morning...i love it.â another chuckle left his mouth and she raised her eye-brow, setting her face as dead serious. âwould a better plan just be flat out saying i want to see you naked? i am bold enough for that.âÂ
luxfmdâ:
lux scoffed, but grinned widely at jiyooâs words. she was a trip. âcareful, iâll start a fansite.â they warned in jest, turning his back to the group of people. âdonât buy everything, jynxy, it should all at least be your size.â he pointed out, taking the idea seriously. why wouldnât he? jiyoo had looked great in everything sheâd tried on. âtake your time, though, iâm not going anywhere.â he promised, offering his pinky to pinky swear.
âiâll accept the names jiyoo jjang, yoon oppa, cherry red or best smile.â yes, jiyoo found herself very into the idea of having another fansite. âand since youâre an idol...youâll get all of the best pictures.â the smile that was on her face as followed by a small pout. âbut buying everything is the best of fun, think of all the bags weâll have to carry.â now, that meant you were having a fun time. she reached out her hand, taking the pink and giving a firm shake. âiâm holding you too that, if i blink and youâre gone, we fight.âÂ
fmdjaceâ:
there is a short pause on jihoonâs side, thinking a bit if that was really possible but this was the idol world they were talking about âyeah, i think i can keep up. youâre talking to the person who lived off coffee and energy drinks with a sandwich slapped in between in his trainee days.â which honestly, looking back now made jihoon consider how he survived their training. âdamn, you really want to drink me under the table huh?â he laugh at her, and you couldnât really blame him.
âsee, as much fun as that would sound, i am sure drunk me has at least half the braincells left to say that that will ruin our image and make you change it.â he explains, watching as jiyoo reaches for the shot glass. instinctively, jihoon reaches for his own and brings it to his lips, downing it without much of a reaction. âpizza everyday for at least two weeks? yeah okay, i think i can shake my hand to that.â the male replies, smile tugging on his lips âi get a new coffee machine. i think it equals out on money, yeah?â
âit looks like iâm in good company.â jiyoo shot him a wink. âwe can think about how bad all that was for your body later.â that being said, she wasnât the best role model. itâs not like pizza and sugar was the best diet to have with her training schedule. âthe sandwich, not so bad but the drinks....â very bad for you, depending.Â
giving a small shake of her head, jiyoo grabbed one of the shots and tossed it back. and not to be out-do, she quickly grabbed the next, wincing at the taste. âat least one of us would have a braincell left. i wouldnât depend on me for that.â all she could do was shrug, she wasnât the type to present herself as something different. âbut you have a deal! even if my idea was the more fun one.â also the image ruining one but who was thinking about that.Â
fmdjaceâ:
this is what jihoon was carving for really, someone to not burst his bubble and play along. what more could he want? there is a big grin on his lips, threatening to split his face in half âguess we gotta see how crazy we can get.â he says, obviously teasing as he winks at jiyoo. he is already opening the cabinet and taking out the alcohol she picked and he regrets giving her a choice. âat least i bought the expensive vodka, i donât think i have had a hangover from this brand ever.â not that jihoon drank that much, but he drank enough to know what a hangover was and how he didnât want to experience it again, but a week down the line and he had already forgotten that resolution of his. âwhat do you wanna win if you take me down?â he asks, glancing at jiyoo as he places six shot glasses down. the sound of the cap popping off the vodka bottle makes him sigh, it brought back a bit too many mixed memories âi wanna say you could dare me to do something, but im too scared drunk you will go overboard.â jihoon says, grin back on his lips as he pours them three shots each, pushing jiyooâs closer to her.
âletâs see if you can keep up with my crazy. iâm a person who runs on nothing but candy, pizza and all thing sugar.â like herself. âno hangovers, thatâs good.â she already knew she wouldnât be on her feet after shot after shot after shot. âat least, iâll stand on my feet until i beat you and then crash to ground.â
âoh, drunk me will definitely go overboard. drunk me would tell you to strip naked and go streaking...but drunk me might also join you so.â she shrugged her shoulders to say âwho knowsâ a small chuckle left her mouth as she reached for the shot glasses. âi donât know, iâll stick you with something easy, iâll need pizzaâs for at least two weekâs, everyday.â that seemed fair, it fit her. âand if you win, which you wonât, what would you like?â
â€oh shit
â pretty good, canât be shaken, yeah goddamn it, i like it donât bother me, i canât be better than ever why you tryna ruin me? iâm fine with just me open, 5th of novermver, jihoonâs flat
âhey, hey.â jihoon says from the couch, kicking the otherâs arm gently multiple times to get his attention as they were sat on the opposite end of the sofa. it was a stupid thought, he was aware of this, but they were both on their who knows what beer now and it all started with jihoon inviting them over for dinner. how did it turn into them playing on his nintendo switch and drinking every single time one of them lost was not exactly clear to him, however⊠his next idea was even more stupid. he could debate if it was the alcohol or just him.. maybe a mix of both.
âi bet i can drink more shots than you in a roll.â and he was pretty aware he was asking for a death wish, but the shit eating grin on his lips definitely said he didnât care a single bit. âjust pick the alcohol, soju or vodka?â jihoon asks, not even waiting for their answer, he pushes himself up from the couch to go to the cabinet in the kitchen, which was filled with all his alcohol, reaching to take the shot glasses out.
jiyoo found herself always ready to accept an invite out. she lived on being with other people, having her own space was nice but nothing compared to just being around someone. âyeah?â jiyoo responded, setting the beer down as she took in the taste. she wouldnât say no to the drink but beer tasted horrible but hey, why say no to a drink and good time.Â
âyou should know you found someone just as crazy as you.â sheâd take him on. soon enough, jiyoo followed him, wrinkling her nose. âboth are already harsh, shot form doesnât help.â all of it would go down bad. âbut letâs do vodka.â she just felt like sheâd be able to bear it better. âwhat do i win when i take you down?â
luxfmdâ:
lux clapped for jiyoo as she came out of the dressing room, even giving a wolf whistle once that had a few dirty looks thrown their way. lux made a face at the passers by who were apparently so irritated. when jiyoo reemerged they grinned. âyou looked gorge, jynx.â they informed her, unusually supportive, in part to spite the people theyâd bothered. âwhat are you getting? all of it?â they questioned, curious about what she had and hadnât been satisfied with. of course, she really had looked good in every piece, but, well, jiyoo was really beautiful. she always looked good. it would be hard for her not to, even if luxâs personal taste wasnât suited to the cutesy motif and colors jiyoo favored.
âthank you, thank you. i will not charge a service fee to look at me but because i like you, you can view me for free.â she didnât pay much attention to the people watching him, enjoying the praise from lux more than the glances. âyes, i am buying all of it.â she had a plan. âi plan on buying out the entire store, this way, i wonât have to shop for at least two years.â or at the very least one but she intended to not shop for a while. âi need to hit up a few more racks and then itâll be on to food.âÂ
fmdsooahâ:
sooah feels a burst of excited giggles filling up her stomach in the familiar way that she has come to know as itâs associated with the fact that someone is going along with her stupid ideas. sometimes, just being a young person who has the money to buy things that make her happy, is the right way to go. âunnie, have i ever mentioned that youâre an angel?â she says truthfully as she scans the racks more thoroughly now that she has been given the permission she was looking for. âiâm not convinced at all. iâll get you the prettiest thing i see here,â she tells jiyoo with a smile even though the other wonât be able to see it through the phone.
sooah holds the phone between her cheek and her shoulder as she goes through the options of not only hats and belts but also a skirt now that jiyoo suggested that. âoh, thereâs no need of that,â she says almost defensive, âitâs a gift, after all, thereâs no reason for a payback.â
âyou mightâve but i wouldnât mind hearing it again.â most of the time, she was the devil, maybe an imp but angel was an pretty good title if jynx said so herself. and she did say so. âand i trust you to do that.â she had faith that sooah would help her make the best cow-girl outfit. even if she only thought of it on the spot. âother than trying to be talked out of making quick buys, are you having fun?â
âwell, i do take the first half of it as a gift but i want to extra, you have to let me pay you back or iâll just come up with my own gifts.â sooah couldnât stop her from doing that. âso, just let me know how much the extra cost and iâll be there for you.âÂ
starter for: OPEN
âI am this close of bringing you a cowboy hat or giant belt buckle, so you have fifteen seconds to talk me out of it before I make this purchase,â Sooah says delightfully mischievous on the phone as she looks at the different type of hats and different styles of belts that she didnât think that could be possible. Sooah has never been to Texas before which explains her why sheâs all bright-eyed looking at things she could bring back with her to Korea. That, and her constant habit of buying souvenirs even when her friends tell her that isnât necessary.
âOh, and if you manage to convince me to not buy those for you, you should at least tell me what youâd like from here as a gift, too. Iâm not coming back home without something for you.â
âwhat if i donât want to talk you out of either.â the words came out with a giggle, already thinking about herself in an outfit. âi am the worst person to call when you want to be talked out of buying something.â she was a spender herself, never on big things but food and little trinkets. if she had to add it up....yeah no, she wouldnât think about it. âso, should i consider you not convinced to not buy it for me?âÂ
she could already think about the outfit. âcan i have both? it sounds great. if you manage to find a matching cow print...skirt...nevermind, i think i have one. if you find a cowbell, tell me and iâll send you the money.âÂ
fmdm1â:
* â° Â Â Â Â IF ONLY HER HONEST SENTIMENTS COULD BE TAKEN AT FACE. itâs hard to accept this glimmer of sugar when he himself was a little rotten. â well in that case, iâll fill the shoes youâve given me. â at least, pretend to. â youâre saying iâm doing a BAD job? â feigned hurt swirled over his expression, twisting away the smile for just a beat before itâs back just as bright. â youâre dealing some splash damage calling yourself old. iâve got three years over you, donât forget. â ( though itâs in jest ââ masked beneath it is a sore spot around AGE. ) footfalls steady to a halt, idle fingers traipsing the fabric of hung shirts while he looked them over. itâs not really his personal taste for himself, but he appreciates all fashion in its own right. â does it match up to pixels on a screen? nothing worse than being cheated once you see it with your own eyes. â
the platitudes are scorching pyres over his tongue, mock idealism oh-so disingenuous ; but people always liked optimism. â isnât it great? lifeâs full of difficult problems so itâs nice to have something easier to deal with. â a charmer, her diction still drifting within his plane of thought. â right, iâm no tyrant so i wonât stop you from thinking even if i donât agree. â though itâd be easier if he could. â if youâre still hung up on it, you can just repay me next time. â
it took a second to realize he was joking. jynx was ready to rush and apologize to him. it was a good saying, at least she thought it was. it took a second to realize he was joking and then laugh left her mouth, loud enough that she looked around but it didnât stop the laughter. always ready to apologize for her strange behavior. âwhatâs that saying that i donât agree but itâs proven to be true.â she thought about it for a moment, not knowing the right wording. âmen get value as they age, the value of woman....â jiyoo trailed off with a shrug. âitâs not something i agree with but itâs hard too not notice, especially in our industry.âÂ
âit seems to be living up to the hype, iâm not disappointed just yet.â but the day was long and who knew what would happen? âiâm glad we could settle on a compromise.â but he wouldnât be able to stop her anyway, not that sheâd say it out-loud but she was sure heâd be able to see in her eyes. random, goofy but stubborn as hell. âi donât know if you meant it this but iâm taking it, thank you for pre-agreeing to come hang out with me on my next shopping trip.âÂ
luxfmdâ:
lux lets out a rich chuckle, shaking their head. jynx was too much sometimes, but as much as she could get on their nerves and make them cringe, they did care for her. she was childlike enough that it would be almost a cruelty not to.Â
lux shook their head again at jynxâs antics. perhaps it was merely the key difference between them - jynx saw things with a bubblegum tint, whereas lux saw in shades of grey. jynx never failed to make something good out of every situation, where lux merely made the best of what they had. they wondered what it was like to be rosy. âyes, yes. let me see when you try one on, though, to make sure it fits well from the outside.â
âyou got it boss.â jyoo gave lux a pair of finger guns before she held the dresses up to her body for a moment. âi think iâll take some of these items as well.â another pair of jeans, two stripped shirts in different colors and a pair of shorts. with a wave, jynx made her way to the dressings room. to her credit, she did make a point of changing quick. the first thing she came out in had been one of the knit dresses, doing a few spins for lux before she returned to the dressing room, that happened a few more times until she modeled everything she had. âso, did it all look good or did it all look good?â a very obvious hint that there was only one right answer.Â
fmdjoomiâ:
âah, okay.â joomi nodded her head in understanding. âiâve never heard of this place before, but i hope i can find something that suits my tastes.â her fashion sense, while diverse, was still very specific and exactly tailored to fit her vibe and aura. it had taken her years to figure out what worked for her fashion wise, and now that she had, she tended to stick to her own lane. disregarding the times where dimensions had their own stylists give her clothes. âoh, thatâd look good on you,â she commented on the shirt she held up to her body, nodding her head. âis it your size?â joomi began perusing through the clothes, trying to find something that she liked. âiâll be holding you to that,â she chuckled.
âmuted colors.â jynx replied, âcolorful but muted, a more preppy style.â she could at least offer a heads up. jynx wasnât sure if that would vibe with joomi but thatâs what she was going for today personally. jynx turned her head a bit to look at the shirt, nodding her head in agreement. âletâs see...â jynx took a shirt, checking the size and pout formed when she realized it wasnât. âmaybe theyâll have more.â and she wanted to know who stopped by before her. âhere we go.â jynx laid the tee over her arm, shooting a smile at joomi. âyou can count on it, if thereâs one thing i love more than food, itâs eating it with other people.â
fmdm1â:
YOON JIYOO
* â° Â Â Â Â WARM BROWN EYES ARE MOLDED INTO KINDLY CRESCENTS, sugar-coated smile comes with practiced ease; heâs in his element. â youâre sure? itâs not too late to shoo me off, you know. â like the mouth of a river flowing into the sea, where jiyoo goes, myungil flows to && follows with that signature pep in each step. â well thank you, i do try my best to be a good listener. it helps to have something interesting to listen to.â a laugh at her gestures, more air than sound. âiâd like to think i can carry my fair share AND. . eating with company is the only way i like to eat. â his white lies, falling so easy from his mouth that even he believes them. suppose there was worst things to be deceptive about.
â i think thatâs the happiest problem to have. â fashion decisions were far from his area of expertise, it comes with some assurance heâs just along for the ride rather than to offer substantial help. â i wouldnât call it charm really. . â his voice falls flat ââ drifting away into silence as if some wave of modesty had struck. heâs not charming, no, heâs a mirror; reflecting back a vision thatâs nearly himself but flipped, tossing away whatever fragments of self arenât quite right; nothing more. but that sort of truth is best kept to himself. â iâm happy youâll at least consider my, admittedly tempting, offer. if it helps you can think of it as a kindness for a kindness ââ that being you taking me along, of course. â
ânope.â she replied, popping the âpâ. âif i didnât want you around, i wouldnât have invited you in the first place.â if there was one thing she wasnât, she wasnât fake. âwell, youâre doing a bang up job.â jiyoo paused for a moment, tilting her head to the side. âam i old? do people still say that.â a small shudder ran through her and jiyoo shook her head. âforget it, letâs see....â jiyoo stopped at a rank of t-shirts, with various words and prints. âi saw some of this online, i think iâm going to stick to the pink and light blues.âÂ
jiyoo didnât expect him to offer advice, grabbing the two t-shirts and laying them over her arm. âi didnât think of it like that, i like it that way.â a happy problem. âweâll compromise...you donât have to think it but i can.â because he was too her and in the moment, jiyoo didnât feel like thinking too much about it. âi just might give in, youâre making it hard for me to ignore kindness or kindness.â
