He didn’t know many people that he shared a birthday with, which was why when he found out that his label mate and sunbaenim was born on the same day as him, they had been celebrating with one another ever since. Because they had trained with one another before Alien debuted, they were already pretty close friends, which made celebrating easier. But as the years moved on and they both became more and more busy, they couldn’t celebrate with each other all the time. That didn’t stop Samsoo from getting Yejun a birthday gift and personally delivering it to him. He shifted the box in his arms to one arm, using his free hand to ring the doorbell of the other male’s apartment.

the last place suji wanted to be was at this stupid dinner. an ideal night for her would have been to just head back to her dorm, get some take out with her members and then sleep for god knows how long. however, the companies were so adamant on getting their thirty minutes of fame to look like good companies, and so here she was. absolutely stuck. if she had to pick a positive of the unfortunate situation, it would be that the food was actually quite nice. they were decent enough to hire good catering. taking a step away from the buffet line to take a seat somewhere, suji had ended up stepping on somebody else. an apologetic squeak left her lips as she looked up to see whoever she decided to embarrass herself in front of this time. upon realizing who it was, she brought a hand to her chest, trying to calm herself down. despite it being somebody she knew, she was still apologetic about the whole situation. “please don't tell me i like broke your toe or something.”

                      ❛  Caffeine was heavily needed by most idols and Minah was no exemption to this rule. Cold iced coffee that was strong enough to keep her eyes open. The day itself seem to have dragged itself longer than it should. Morning schedule that included a run to the gym and a small drive back home to wash up before her manager picks her up for her schedule. A photoshoot for Singles Magazine which she was sure would take a long time. She sips her drink as she steps out of the van, with clothes that seem to be made of too little fabric and a pair of designer sunglasses sits atop her nose bridge. 

Greetings flowed as the female walks into the studio, followed by her stylist and her manager. The process of turning Minah into Astrid was a long one as perfection was hard to achieve and it was what she aimed for. With hair and makeup done, she sits in the room waiting for her manager to return with her food. A knock on the door leads her to turn her head towards the door. 

“Minah-ssi, let's do some test shots.” Minah steps out of the dressing room and stands in front of the camera, the shutter sounds follow with each pose she makes. Looking at the test shots after a few shots, the door opens and Minah's head perks up. “Manager!” She whispers loudly to herself, thinking of the meal she has been waiting for. Her heels made small noises against the pavement as she runs towards the door in a hurry. Expecting her manager to be the one to arrive. “Oppa!” she shouts excitedly but instead of her manager, another idol appears before her. 

A familiar face and yet she gasps, trying to stop herself from crashing into him but her clumsy little feet trips her into hitting straight to his chest. It was a little too late to redeem herself and instead of apologizing for actually falling towards him. She stares. “Oh! I know you.” She says, hands on his chest and there was barely enough space between them. “You're not my manager,” Minah mumbles under her breath but once she collected her thoughts, she gasps. “But I know you! You're that guy from Origin, right?!”  ❜

      things with yejun were not the same as before the fight they had that kept them apart until just recently. time passing so slowly to kino as he tried to keep himself busy. he knew both boys were stubborn and stood strongly in the thought of not wanting to be the one to reach out. even though his own mother told him he was wrong for bringing up yejun’s mother in such a manner, he still felt like he didn’t do anything wrong. then valentine’s day happened, and kino couldn’t help but smile at the text that yejun had sent. it was exactly what he needed to hear, causing him to go to the other male. now it’s all about finding a new normal, one where they no longer hold in the secrets of the past. his living room his dark except for the lights that he had hung, the fort taking up most of the space. it was something he did often when they were younger, though his skills had gotten a lot better. “so when are you gonna let me take you on a date?” he asks softly, glancing over at yejun. “even though it’s cold, an ice cream date would be cute.”

     it had been a few days since kino had spent time with yejun, his schedule taking him away from his apartment for most of the week. spending time in different dance classes, his desire to learn different genres had been growing since the end of the year. the ballet class was an experience, one he wanted to try again since he knew the technique it offered would help him all around. finally he was able to go home and take a hot shower before heading over to yejun’s apartment. making a quick stop to grab them both iced americanos, with how sleepy he felt was something he needed. kino pushed open the door and was met with silence, quickly placing the tray on the table in the living room, going to search for yejun. finding him in the bedroom with a book in his lap caused kino to smile. he also noticed that the smaller male didn’t have his hearing aids in, kino knew a break was always good. he kicked his shoes off before crawling on the bed, and settling next to yejun. “you look so cute.” he signed, hands moving in fluid motions. learning sign language was the first thing he did when he entered middle school, asking his mother to buy him all of the books he needed. “is it any good? i always love the books you pick to read.” he lowered his hands before moving to lay his head on yejun’s shoulder.

    things hadn’t been the same since he walked out of yejun’s apartment. it felt like the end of their friendship, but of course it was simply because he was angry. there wasn’t anything yejun could do that would truly cause kino to walk out of his life. they had lost each other once before, and he had promised himself to never let that happen again. kino just wished he knew what to do or say for them to get back to how things used to be. despite knowing that it wasn’t possible for them to get back to that, too many things had happened since then. he was still hurt of course about the whole situation, the anger had long gone. with the end of year event happening, kino knew that they were bound to run into each other. his members would only allow him to hide for so long before pushing him out of the dressing room. there was a knock on the door, his leader going to see who it was. it wasn’t until kino noticed his leader walking towards him that he felt like something was wrong. all he heard was yejun’s name and tinnitus in the same sentence, causing him to quickly get up to find the younger male. what was happening between them suddenly wasn’t important, making sure yejun was okay was all that mattered to him. alien had already performed, which meant it must have been his special stage coming up. “where is he?” the words coming out softly, although he wanted to yell. everyone knew just how close the two were, which is why kino knew they came to find him. when everyone pointed towards the ground, kino dropped immediately already knowing what to do. “yejun, i’m here. i’m sorry it took so long.”
