Moving. It was something he dreaded for a while. Betty had promised to call, text, make visits and the like. The bus ride to Ohio was rough but, he got through it. Having the low power of his cell phone to talk to Betty as much as he could, the bus ride hours ticked by until he was greeted by his mother and sister at the station. The bomb dropped on him that they were moving to a place even further from Riverdale. So, there he was. New school, new town, new life. Walking into Liberty High with a low face, he didn’t make eye contact with anyone. Though, only staring at the floor did its justice to put him in a troublesome situation. His body had collided with another, causing books and a large coffee drink to spill all over the floor.
“Shit.” A whisper before he looked up at who he bumped into. “Sorry.. about that. I didn’t know the nearest Starbucks was right around the corner.”
