This past weekend we had our award ceremony & I was able to collect my #GAFP Family Physician of the Year award for the state of Georgia, 2021. Still having difficulty wrapping my head around it; there are so many great family docs across the state who would have been worthy recipients. I’m so thankful that @drkeishalynn & my family were able to come. I also ran into a few friends from med school @morehouseschoolofmedicine including one of mentors, @eddierichardson6980 (former GAFP president) & my 3rd-year clerkship rotation partner Dr. Shameka Hunt McElhaney (those of y’all in Atlanta, be sure to check out her Salubris MD Mobile Healthcare service).
