A little rant about fnaf Pizzeria Simulator

Okay I think we gotta have a real discussion about the ending of Pizzeria Simulator and this whole "protagonist-suicide" trope.

At the end of Pizzeria Simulator is implied that Mike didn't leave during the fire on purpose, even if he knew he could escape, deciding to basically end his life with his father's and freeing all the souls. Can we stop pretending that this is something good? I haven't seen anyone talk about it, but I think it's just a terrible message overall to end your story with.

What do you mean that the only way to find peace and end the cycle of abuse for your abused character, because that's what Mike is, is dying?? That once he finally confronted his abuser and made it he has no purpose left but to die?? It's just so icky to me and I've seen it a lot in medias (exibit A, the terrible ending of stranger things), when they have a character that is "too damaged" the only ending they can think of for them is one where they die too. It just makes me deeply sad to be honest, Mike deserves better, but also victims of abuse deserve better portrays that doesn't always end up like this.

Idk, in my head Mike left the building last second and he's living his best life cuz he doesn't need to kill his father to be happy, he just needs a TON of therapy.

People need to stop hating on Mike Schmidt for not trusting being around Vanessa

It is absolutely crazy going through the Fnaf 2 tag and seeing so many people hating on Mike's decision to not trust Vanessa after everything because honestly, it is pretty valid

Let me paint a picture for you all

I see most people saying he should've welcomed her in after everything she did to save Abby but I want to point out that we, as an audience, saw everything she went through. Mike, however DID NOT. Genuinely he was in the office the whole time fighting for his life while trying to keep his family safe. He couldn't see ANYTHING that was going on.

I want you to also keep in mind of Mike's perspective of it all, and not just our perspective as an audience

His first meeting with Vanessa was her literally helping her father keep an eye on Mike for his master plan, which William openly stated in front of Mike, a plan that almost got his sister killed, almost got him killed. Her father was the one who killed his brother and she was technically helping that guy with this big plan and only helped Mike when it came to the worst case scenario. Just because Vanessa risked her life for them doesn't automatically make ANY of that now formed distrust go away, but Mike decided to give trusting her a chance because she did help them and the storm had seemingly passed over

Then you get to the second movie, Mike is trying to figure out what to do about Abby and her missing their friends. He goes out with Vanessa and the talk about it, and she then tells him to be 'honest' with Abby about it, despite Vanessa's dishonesty inadvertently almost getting them killed. I can understand why he had that slight sarcastic remark towards her because from his perspective it can be seen as highly hypocritical to say. But he also knows she is struggling just like he did and wants to give her advice to help her move on when he spent years being unable to himself

Then, he doesn't see or hear anything about Vanessa till AFTER Henry told him everything about what happened with Charlotte. And now only when Abby is already in danger does she tell him only about the 2nd location and nothing else. This is, mind you, after their last meet up where she convinced him to be honest with Abby. Though I agree he should've listened to her more, I can understand why he would be angry with her about it all.

Then, the next time they meet is when he finds Vanessa tied up in the old location, he helps her out, she helps him out, and they work together to figure out how to save Abby. Then they have a genuine heart to heart about her not telling the truth, Mike understands and entrusts her to help save his sister.

Then the next time they meet is when Vanessa was about to be killed by a possessed Abby and Mike saves her and his sister, then, out of the blue, Vanessa's murderous brother comes in and now bro finds out she had another killer family member that was targeting them that she told them absolutely nothing about and then said brother tries to kill them with the toy animatronics only being saved by the ghost kids. She declared that she has a new family now, but is she truly family after countless instances of gaining trust only to break it over and over again, you can only shatter and fix a glass so much till it can't hold anymore water again.

Mind you, the fandom acts like Mike was a jerk to Vanessa at the end but he wasn't. He never said anything mean to her, he never said anything rude or insulting to her, he simply said for her to stay away from him and his family because he feels like he can't trust her, that was all which honestly, when seeing it all from his perspective, is 100% valid.

Now don't get me wrong, Vanessa is a good person, she was just dealt with a bad hand in life, and she is 100% valid for not wanting to talk about her past. But Mike is also 100% valid for not trusting her, especially since the lies nearly got him and his sister killed TWICE.

BOTH ARE EQUALLY VALID, stop demonizing one side or the other based on the fact you can see scenes that they can't due to us being the audience or because you are heavily biased towards on side or the other.

One thing that will always bug me in the fnaf community is when people will only think that William was neglectful or abusive to ONE specific child. No it wasn't ONLY Elizabeth or ONLY Michael, both were abused (according to evidence in the trilogy and in games) and neglected. With crying child it's hard to tell because we don't ever really see William and C.C interact in canon at least when they were both alive. I can say that C.C was definitely neglected because he was being left home alone with his brother who had a pattern of bullying him and then William didn't even pull up to his party??? Dawg. But anyways, I also hate it when it's like "Oh this kid had it worse!" Like they all greatly suffered in their own unique way, I mean yeah, maybe Michael or Elizabeth suffered a little more from the abuse since it's more implied with them but if we also count Crying Child being bullied by almost every kid in the neighborhood, it evens it out a bit??

The FNAF fandom has a really big problem with age (aka I HATE your age "headcanons")

"its just my au!" "it's a headcanon!" "it's just a theory" "the characters ages aren't confirmed!"

These are all things I've heard when criticizing the VERY common age headcanons/theories for the child FNAF characters. And honestly, these excuses are TIRED. Has anyone in this fandom ever interacted with a kid? Been a kid? Hell have you even HEARD OF a child?

There is genuinely no way any of you can look at the mci, Charlie, Elizabeth, or CC and imagine that these kids are even near the age of 10. So why is EVERYONE headcanoning them as MIDDLE SCHOOLERS???

I get it. Child development is hard to understand. But there is genuinely no way that you people believe a 13yo Cassidy would believe that the guy in the Chuck E Cheese suit is the real Chuck. PLEASE be serious. A middle school aged child would know for a fact that William Afton is not Springbonnie, he's an employee in a suit. A MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED CHILD WOULDN'T EVEN WANT TO BE IN FREDDY'S BECAUSE IT'S FOR KIDSSSSS. There's a reason Mike and his friends are such bullies. THEY are the middle schoolers come onnn.

And before you are like "well how am I supposed to know these kids ages? It's not stated. What if my theory is that they were 13-14?" First of all, the ages for the victims have been stated a million times over.

Silver Eyes Trilogy places Charlie at 3 and Elizabeth at 5.

Into the pit states that the MCI are YOUNGER than 10yo Oswald. In the novelization of the fnaf movie, it is once again stated that they are younger than Abby, another 10yo.

In the Silver Eyes trilogy it is stated that Michael Brooks is about 7 and all the other MCI are close in age to him.

SO WHY IS EVERY HEADCANON THAT THEY ARE 10-14????

Why is Elizabeth so constantly stated to be 11 in artworks (to the point people think its canon) when she is stated to be 5 in her only canon appearance? Scott went the extra mile to put Mangle (a toy for toddlers) in her room if Fnaf 4!! Mangle is literally in a baby room in AR in reference to Elizabeth’s room come onnnn.

Even in the Ticket to Fun kit, the child Afton fails to kill is 8!!! It has been routinely shown that the age of Afton's victims range from 3-9 in multiple continuities. Why would it suddenly be different in the games? Every time Afton has been met with a 10yo or older (Fnaf movie, Into the pit, Silver Eyes) the child has been able to instantly tell that he isn't to be trusted.

And please don't get me started on Michael. No 16yo is going to be bullying a 6-9yo child 🤦🏾‍♀️ Mike is the most obvious Middle School/Freshmen child and yet artists act like he's pushing 20 for some reason. The character he's a parallel to in the frights books is literally 14.

The ages of these kids is so clear based on how they act and the repeated evidence, yet for some strange reason the fandom is obsessed with aging them up. Why? Is it so Afton seems like less of an evil person? Is it because you don't understand how children mature? Or is it because you want to put them in more mature situations in your fanworks and sexualizing 16yo Jeremike feels more moral than acknowledging that those kids just hit double digits?

Either way you annoy me anddd everytime I see these characters with weird ass nonsensical ages I roll my eyes. Hope one day the fandom fixes issue because it's suchhh a pet peeve of mine holy.

Okay guys I usually don't do this but I'm gonna RANT!

about ennard because that's all I think about.

I think ennard is wasted potential. The fact that they died in-between games is criminal to me considering how much could have been done to their character.

A body snatching animatronic that can imitate a man SO WELL none of his neighbors noticed until the skin rotted? That's awesome!!

And the horror aspect of them is great, they used a machine to rip out his organs to WEAR HIS SKIN to escape and be free and TAKE OVER HIS LIFE. THAT'S SO COOL.

Along with its design, its design is meant to look like something is very very wrong. They look humanoid, sure. But they're very uncanny with how they move and walk, and they look threatening and dangerous if paired with good lighting. (Even by themself they look scary in my opinion.)

It's character design is REALLY strong and one of the best in the franchise (IN MY OPINION IM AN ENNARD GLAZER DON'T JUMP ME)

And the fact it's so manipulative is very interesting to me. It was so desperate it started mimicking Elizabeths voice to try and get Micheal to open the door in the secret ending. I feel like there's a lot of opportunities for a really dark interesting character just SITTING THERE.

ANOTHER THING I NOTICED was on night 5 it hung 2 technicians on the stages, but but wait wait, why couldn't it just have used one of their skins? (Yes, I know it was to trick hand unit but hey they could've found something else probably). They had 2 human corpses but they wanted MICHEAL. SPECIFICALLY. Maybe because he was the one shocking him, was it vengeance? Was it something else? I DON'T THINK WE'LL EVER KNOW UGH.

Ennard is so interesting and deep as a character (in my opinion as someone who's spent 4 years analyzing them).

And they had SO MUCH STUFF TO WORK WITH

But NOOO. They died. In-between games. And the only way you got a crumb of info was from source code or something. That pisses me off so bad.

And this is just a theory or something but I low-key think Scott might regret killing them so soon because he keeps making body snatching characters (Eleanor, the mimic..? I guess..?), and characters with similar appearances (stitch wraith)

No offense to those characters. I LOVE STITCH WRAITH. But in my opinion they basically try to do what ennard did, and I won't say they failed. They are very good characters, however I feel as though if ennard LIVED A LITTLE LONGER they could've been SO COOL.

That is just me reaching and I don't know if I'm the only one thinking that but hey there is my.. theory.. perhaps you could say a game theory..

But ennard being tossed out like that is partially why I made my au!! Because I thought ennard was wasted potential.

I don't really know what Scott would have done instead of killing ennard, and we'll never really know. I would say pizza sim fire but if William can live so could they 😭🙏(I just am tired of all my favorite characters dying let me pretend guys)

If I'm being totally honest, I'm glad the FNaF 2 Movie played out how it did. Even if the plot sucked, and they added a whole lot of bullcrap into it, it and the FNaF 1 Movie have created an amazing build-up for the third film. If you think about it, we have a crazy cast for this movie. We have Springtrap, The Phantoms (they recently got confirmed for the movie), Mike, Michael Afton, Possessed Vanessa, Henry Emily, The creators of Fazbear's Fright (The dudes from the middle credit scene), and most likely a lot more. It also creates a build-up for the William Afton arc of the story. Matthew Lillard said he wants his William Afton to be shown more in this movie, and Skeet Ulrich has talked about a scene between Henry and William (A confrontation with Henry and Springtrap, a flashback to Fredbear's, or a make-out scene (PLEASE BLUMHOUSE)). We also have the whole Sister Location thing with Circus Baby appearing in the second movie. So what I'm trying to say is that even the first two movies weren't the best things ever created (The first movie was pretty great, in my opinion), they gave us the materials for an amazing third movie (and possibly a fourth, because Kevin Foster (the guy who acts as the Freddy's in the movies) said he really wants to be Nightmare Freddy in a possible fourth movie).

Alright. Seen the second FNAF movie, lemme check… at least five times now? Alright, I need to rant about Michael Afton so I don’t force myself into another showing now that the gleam of excitement is gone from a movie like this. Spoilers ahead.

Let’s start with the little observations first.

First things first, we see he knows how to pick his battles. He gleefully watches Mangle break a man, but runs from possessed McKenna. He’s desensitized to violence and knows when he’s safe, but also knows when to run. Guess you pick up those skills as the son of a serial killer.

We hear William mention Vanessa is his favorite. That probably plays a lot into his mentality and most of what I want to go on about. How all of this is purely for his father’s love.

Michael says he’s continuing his father’s legacy, but doesn’t understand what William wanted at all. William doesn’t kill for the hell of it. Honestly, my guess of an event order is he learned of Charlie’s possession through Vanessa and had only killed Charlie because she interrupted his kidnapping (most likely for some experiment).

Michael may be trying to be useful as well by freeing Charlie. William never wanted Charlie to escape, or he’d have done it sooner. He would have trusted Michael with the code, but he didn’t because Michael is incompetent.

Michael has no identity outside of his “purpose.” Vanessa is at least trying to be free from all this. Michael is stuck. He doesn’t know who he is. He doesn’t even want to try. He just accepts that he’s essentially property and attempts to be someone he isn’t.

This is why I want Ennard to happen. In the games, that’s where Michael realized what was really going on. That’s when he knew how unloved by William he was. I need something like this to kill him and then bring him back and for him to break, and maybe take on the nightguard-arsonist role he did in FNAF 3. Honestly, it’d be a stellar redemption arc.

I don’t mind that he’s different from the games. I’m just glad he’s here.
