Given Scott Cawthon's blistering development pace and proclivity for releasing ahead of schedule, this came as no surprise to fans. What was surprising, though, was how unfinished FNaF World seemed.
Cawthon completely agrees with this assessment.
"I've been accused of rushing my games since FNaF 1, but I've never felt like I've released a game too early... until now," he wrote in a Steam Community post.
“I was so focused on showing off the finished items that I forgot about the ones that weren't.”
Cawthon said he felt he owed the community an embarrassing admission, and that in the coming weeks, he'll be adding much-requested features.
“Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you. He went on to say, "I'll keep improving the game and adding new features."
Cawthon began improving FNaF World right away, adding a new overworld map, attack command descriptions, and Byte and Chips descriptions to the appropriate menus. Do you see what I'm getting at? However, there are times when a quick development cycle is advantageous.
