tell me about the ??? wip 👀
TY for WIP title asks!! ^_^
hehehehe, ???, is Part 2 of Calder Jacobson's story, one of my sole survivor OCs from Fallout 4. Part 1 ask here. Part 2 covers the canon events of finding and killing Kellogg, going to Goodneighbor for Nick, and picking up Mac then there's some various adventures with different companions and it ends with taking out the Gunners.
Gunners should probably actually be part of Part 3 because this is a beefy section but I already posted Sweetest Fruit You Can Bear which happens after and I don't want to shove chapters in front of it so it's the delimiter at the moment.
This is the least put together section and is mostly just short scene description with some outlined dialogue. (I guess technically Part 4 is the worst because i have nothing planned other than a smattering of scenes after they cure Duncan and bring him to Sanctuary). I have not figured out the title or themes. It really feels like a way to get from A to B where A is Calder being a cagey lone wolf and B is him falling for Mac.
Mac wakes up on a small bed to the soft beat of music he was unfamiliar with. Nothing on the radio, that was for sure. His jacket and hat were on a coat rack by the bed, his pack propped up on the wall. He limped into the living room of an old pre-war house. He sees Cal, mechanic’s coveralls rolled up around his waist and a sweaty white sleeveless top, head in his hands. His sniper rifle was on the table completely repaired. He placed a hand on his shoulder. "Boss." Calder flinched then let his hands dropped but didn’t look up. "Don’t sneak up on me like that." Mac: Sorry. Didn’t mean to. Where are we? Calder: Somewhere safe. Mac: How’d we get out of there? Calder: Lots of bullets. Mac: Are you…are you mad at me? Calder: No. I’m mad at myself. I can’t lose anyone, Mac. I’m done losing people. I almost lost you. Mac: I’m sorry. I should’ve done better, boss. Calder: You? I put you in a bad situation. You’re a sniper. You’re trained – shit. Were you even trained? Mac: Self-taught since 10. Calder: That’s something. You’re a great shot. Don’t get me wrong. But you don’t have close quarters combat experience. Scouting and long-range target removal are your skill sets. And I stuck you in a rat maze because of my own damn selfishness.
