Nobody likes to fail - an obvious statement, just like the one above. Failing sucks, but I have to agree with J.K. Rowling - that living your life without risk, without trying something that you *might* fail at, just so that you never do fail, is far worse. But that’s a negative statement. Let’s try turning it into a positive statement (an exercise the new WW plan favours).
Taking risks, and having them pay off, is the best motivation I could ask for! Even when things don’t go exactly as you planned, if you’re open to it, you can still learn from the experience. One of the things that has kept me inspired and excited about my journey is the fact that I’ve become more willing to try new things, and more often than not I succeed!
In 10 days I will be doing the Foam Fest 5K, complete with obstacles and mud, with two beautiful ladies, my sister and my sister-in-law. This is a HUGE step out of my comfort zone, but I am SO EXCITED! I’m going to do my best to run, instead of just walk, between the obstacles and to attempt every single one. I’m definitely nervous but I’m also so eager to give it a try, especially with those two amazing ladies to support me! 10 days and counting... I’m hoping to have some great pictures to post afterwards too!
