practice becomes more intense after the news of debut.
it’s nothing that hongjoong hasn’t expected, but the hyper focus on certain elements of their growth is something that he thinks he needed. while royal has let him grow in many areas that he’s wanted to, it’s nice to know exactly what they want from him - especially now, considering his role in the group.
he never imagined that he’d be considered something like a triple threat, thinking that all vocals would instead go to the better singers of the group of males that royal has gathered. but now that they’ve given him a vocal position ( even if it’s simply just a subvocal ) on top of a dancer, on top of a rapper, hongjoong agrees that it’s his weakest link. and harmonizing? definitely not something he’d ever thought he’d have to do.
it’s not that it’s hard, because it’s ... not really. at least, the concept of it isn’t. but the problem is, he doesn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb in a group of much better vocals when he’s harmonizing in the first place. looking over his notes and scratching the side of his head, hongjoong turns his attention to jaehyun since he’s the closest to him. “ so .. you got any pointers? or do you think it’s just gonna be a practice makes perfect kind of deal, because i’m starting to think that’s kind of the case -”
