The One Who Holds the Key
✦ no one stops choosing they only stop noticing the choice ✦
✦ ᛚ ᚦ ᛇ ✦
One of the strangest myths about hypnosis is that subjects stop making choices.
They don't.
The choice simply becomes quieter.
Less visible.
The experienced hypnotist understands this.
Not because they want power.
But because they understand attention.
If I ask you every second:
"Do you want to continue?"
you remain aware of the decision.
You stay at the surface.
But when attention narrows, when imagination grows louder, when the experience becomes more interesting than the question itself...
the choice doesn't disappear.
It just stops demanding your attention.
And that is where trance begins to feel strange.
Not because someone took the key.
But because you stopped checking whether it was still in your pocket.
