Yeah...idk. I don't want to get on that level. A lot of our fandom is out of their teen years and I like our trends to reflect that. I'm not a fan of cliches and cheese (unless they're supported by something in the story, like the tether).

At the end of the day, if we get a lot of love into the Twitters of Lea, Cory and the writers, that's all that matters. But attempts to divide and confuse our fandom work against us and it kills any fun we have with it.

Exactly! Sometimes they suspend the bounds of logic for the sake of humor or to make a quick point, but this was intended to be a substantive plot for the ep.

I think the reason that interview stung when we first saw it was because we felt we HAD seen Finn really have to compete for Rachel before and it made us wonder how much worse this could be if that didn't count. But now, to liken it to St. Berry which was VERY much a rebound relationship both times...it makes it more palatable. St. Berry brought us Jessie's Girl. And the fight at prom. And it led to both Faithfully and Pretending. I don't mind it as much if they're going for a St. Berry redux with Brochel because St. Berry in every incarnation was a rebound relationship for Rachel and with St. Berry, Jesse wasn't a threat to Finn with regards to Rachel's heart...he was a threat to Finn because he was more like Rachel than Finn was and could understand her on a level that Finn couldn't.

And tbqh, it just shows how a couple of words can change the meaning of an entire quote. It makes me wonder what else we aren't hearing.

One thing that I'm seeing right now that really kills me (and will kill the Finchel fandom, IMO) is people assuming the story is going to go in a certain direction and pitting Finn and Rachel against each other. I knew it would happen, but it's still disturbing. I hope people realize what a bad idea that is. The other fandoms would love to see Finchel fans divided so that we can then be "conquered." I totally understand choosing not to watch, but we need to not turn against each other. JMO.

No, I agree 100%.

True Finchel fans won't be looking at who's to blame, who's more hurt, etc. A true Finchel fan would realize they're both going to be hurt and leave it there. Appreciate the acting and look for the next logical step in their story.

Don't fight with each other, friends. Fight together against the people threatening your story.

I don’t think gf is convinced of a triangle, gf is just going to be pissed if it happens.

If Brody's interested in Rachel, even if she's still focused on Finn, it still becomes a triangle.

And since we know Brody's interested in Rachel, I think they're just going to have to brace themselves for it, man up and stop freaking out over everything.

Jann -- you are always free to write anything you want. I can't wait to read something new from you. And I didn't even really share what I want to hear so it's not stealing anything as far as I am concerned. Nic -- I do hate that too but in some ways this time I am willing to buy a little backslide because they're in new, untested situations and sometimes that can happen. What I won't be okay with is some 3 minute song/fashion show starring Lea Michele if I don't get this scene. I'm sure it'll be a fine scene and maybe even fun for everyone at a time when it's all angsty but I just feel like it has more potential to be filler. But I'll patiently wait and see. :)
