Welcoming With Treats
Single Effect: Fog [40%] (All / 1 Turn)
MLB Effect: Fog [42.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
Effect Definitions:
Fog is a Status Ailment that will cause the afflicted target to have a 25% chance to miss their attacks. Fog chance can stack.
TLDR: “Welcoming With Treats” is Enhancement Fodder. This memoria is exclusive to the “Halloween Theater” event gacha.
Review: NA Refugees won’t have access to this memoria, but let’s review it as if they do. “Welcoming With Treats” is similar to other useless memoria in the game, such as:
(3*) “All Eyes on Me” Charm [37.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
(Limited 3*) “Wolf for a Single Night” Charm [37.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
(3*) “Never Missing a Scoop” Darkness [37.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
(3*) “Reason For Involvement” Dazzle [37.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
Hilariously, “Welcoming With Treats” is somehow better than all of these due to its higher chance of getting the Status Ailment off-- this comes at the cost of being a Tier One Status Ailment, but still!
Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop the memoria from being bad. Fog mostly serves a defensive purposes-- it’s possible to use it offensively, but since it is a Tier One Status Ailment it won’t increase the amount of damage taken by the afflicted’s weak element, meaning that in order to increase damage, you have to have Addict Killer. If you’re going to be using Addict Killer, you probably want something a little more guaranteed to work-- and unfortunately, Addict Killer (and Status Ailments in general) are flawed with how the game works. On multi-target bosses, they only affect one tile, killing their damage potential.
As for its defensiveness, or lack thereof, you have two issues-- again, the under 50% chance of it actually afflicting your enemies, and then a further 25% chance of the enemy actually missing. To summarize, it’s kind of a crappy Status Ailment when all is said and done.
At least the artwork is cute? But that’s not enough to save it from its status as Enhancement Fodder.
